The event in a few words

"I've been on a walk marathon" 🎼

Well, we tweaked the lyrics of "California Dreamin" by The Mamas and the Papas 🤪. And with good reason! The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon isn't just a race—it's a true Hollywood production where you finally play the leading role over 42, 21 or 5 km 🎬. The City of Angels rolls out a red carpet of 26.2 miles in March 📆. If that number feels easier to digest than our 42.195 km, that's California magic—even though the effort is very much the same! 🥵

It all starts at Dodger Stadium ⚾️. This legendary stadium, inaugurated in 1962, is a true cathedral of sport: it has hosted ten World Series and even the Beatles in 1966! 🎶 At the starting gun, you head out on the iconic "Stadium to the Stars" course, a route born from the euphoria of the 1984 Olympic Games 🏟️. As you run, you'll cross one of the most diverse cities in the world. You'll pass under the dragon gate of Chinatown 🐉, explore the zen elegance of Little Tokyo, and admire the futuristic curves of the Walt Disney Concert Hall before diving into the glitter of Hollywood. The course follows its traditional route to Brentwood, where you'll need to double down on San Vicente, Sepulveda and Santa Monica Blvd 🛣️. Final scene: you'll tread the stars of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ⭐ before crossing the finish line on the legendary Avenue of the Stars. Know that you're pounding pavement trodden by plenty of stars: in 2010, the Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf completed the race in 4h35 to support a veterans' charity🎖️. He's not the only rockstar to have sweated here, since James Valentine, Maroon 5's guitarist, also swapped his pick for running shoes! 🔥 If you need a rabbit to match their times, 19 pacers (pace-setters for non-English speakers 😂) are here to guide you, whatever time you're aiming for ☺️. And if you've got the soul of an elite athlete, keep in mind the stratospheric records of Kenyan Elisha Barno (2h11min45s) and Kenyan Askale Marachi (2h24min11s) 🇰🇪. But don't panic: the support over there is legendary and will help you achieve your goal! 🎯 Not yet tempted by the queen distance of 42.195 km? The organization offers a charity half marathon and a 5 km so no one gets left behind 😇. The event is also accessible to children with the Los Angeles BIG ½ K Kids Run which will allow budding marathoners to explore the City of Angels at their own pace and enjoy a unique experience 🏃. The ASICS Los Angeles marathon is known for its on fire atmosphere 💥. Locals come out in force to cheer on all the runners and party in the streets🕺. The celebration then continues at Century Park for the Festival Finish 🎉. Between live concerts and refreshments, you'll savor your achievement, realizing that in Los Angeles, the party is never far from performance 😏.

Good to know ☝️: This race is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon 🍀.

You're in Los Angeles after all—it's not every day! 😍 Once the medal is around your neck, you'd better play tourist 🔎. Start with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures to admire the red slippers from The Wizard of Oz and rehearse your own Oscars acceptance speech 🎥. Next, head to Universal Studios Hollywood to try out the new high-speed roller coasters🎢. And if you're a movie fan, don't miss the Warner Bros. Studio Tour to sit on the iconic sets of Friends or admire the historic office of Jack Warner 📺. Whether you're alone or with company, we highly recommend heading to the Griffith Observatory, the city's best panoramic spot, for an unbeatable view of the Hollywood sign at sunset 🌞. Finally, recharge your batteries at the Grand Central Market to sample street food from around the world, or head back to Little Tokyo to enjoy the best ramen on the West Coast 🌮.

See you very soon in L.A for star-studded races ⭐️.
