The event in a few words

Hello runner! 🏃‍♂️ Get ready to experience something incredible by registering for the TotalEnergies Malaga Half Marathon ! 🇪🇸 A renown Spanish sporting event that sets Málaga ablaze, not to be missed! 🫡

Capital of Andalusia, the city of Málaga has existed since Antiquity, making it the oldest capital in Europe 🇪🇺. With 29 museums, 24 of which are located in its historic center, it is one of the cities with the most museums in the world, nothing less! 🤓 After the race, take some time to visit the Roman theater. This relic dates back to the 1st century BC 🏛️, and is located at the foot of the great fortification of Alcazaba. It is the largest and best-preserved in all of Spain! 🇪🇸 If you love painting 🎨, be sure to visit the Picasso Museum, home to more than 200 works 🖼️ by the famous Spanish painter 👨‍🎨 .

We assume you're here to work up a sweat and not for the culture, so let's talk about the schedule for this March day. There will be just one race, a Half Marathon 💪. Last year, for the 34th edition, there were 8,000 runners taking over the streets with the same goal: to conquer those 21.097 km. And some did it faster than lightning! ⚡ This half marathon ranks in the top 5 of the fastest half marathons in history! This is understood when seeing records of athletes like the Kenyan Gilbert Kipkosgei, conquering in 58 minutes and 27 seconds, and Kenyan Loice Chemnung who finishes as queen with a time of 1h 05 minutes and 46 seconds! 🤯 We challenge you to do even better! 😝 The race is open to para-athletes ♿️, who will benefit from a discount on their registration 📝. The start takes place on the Paseo del Parque in the Malaga Park 🌳, followed by a road course mostly coastal 🚢 where you can see the sea 🌊. Along the way, you'll pass by emblematic monuments of the city, such as the Malaga lighthouse. This city symbol is located right at the port entrance and gives its name to the promenade it resides on 🚢.

Spring 🌸 is a generally mild season in Andalusia, with temperatures ranging from 15° to 20°C 🌞. The water might be a bit cold, but you can always stroll along the beach and bask in the sun to relax after all these physical efforts! 🕶️ Málaga boasts beautiful beaches 🏖️. If you don't wish to stray from the city center, the Malagueta Beach is perfect for you! As the saying goes, after effort, comes comfort ! 💆‍♂️
