2026 World Road Running Championships

The World Road Running Championships are not always held in the same place! Each edition, World Athletics designates a different host city to stage this competition, which brings together three flagship distances: the mile, the 5 km and the half marathon.

This is how the championships travel around the globe 🌍. After setting down its suitcases in Riga, Latvia, for its very first edition in 2023, it is now the turn of the city of Copenhagen, in Denmark, to host the 2nd edition of the World Road Running Championships.
