The DATEV Challenge Roth is not quite a triathlon like the others! Although it is independent of the IRONMAN circuit, this event has become the biggest and fastest long-distance triathlon on the planet. Every year, the world elite and thousands of enthusiasts gather there to push their limits over the mythical XXL-format distances: 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike, and a 42.195 km marathon.
This is how the Roth region in Bavaria turns, for a weekend, into a true temple of the triple effort 🥳. After getting hearts racing at sunrise during the swim in the Main-Danube Canal, athletes take on a legendary bike course. The highlight of the day remains the mythical climb of the Solarer Berg, where a human tide worthy of the greatest stages of the Tour de France parts at the very last moment to carry the triathletes along in a blazing atmosphere.
