The Ironman World Championship is THE pinnacle of the long-distance triathlon season. Discover everything you need to know about this legendary Kona race and find the results of the 2026 edition!
Did you know? Between 2023 and 2025, the Ironman World Championship went nomadic by splitting the men and women between Kona and Nice, before returning to its roots in 2026: for the first time in seven years, both races started on the same day, October 10, in Kailua-Kona, on Hawaii’s Big Island. On the menu for this XXL triathlon, 3.8 km of swimming in a choppy bay 🏊, followed by 180 km of cycling on the legendary Queen K Highway, then a 42.2 km marathon to finish in skin-clinging humidity, all of it also serving as the grand finale of the Ironman Pro Series 🏆.
The 2026 edition took place last October 10. Find the rankings below:

1st: Vincent Luis (7:47:27) 🥇
2nd: Gustav Iden (7:49:03) 🥈
3rd: Matthew Marquardt (7:49:59) 🥉
The killer stat 💡: for his very first participation in Kona, and in what he had announced as his final season, Vincent Luis becomes the first Frenchman crowned in Hawaii. Sam Laidlow had claimed the world title in 2023, in Nice.
Women’s Top 3

2nd: Laura Philipp (8:39:34) 🥈
