Vietnam Mountain Marathon 2026 Results

The VMM isn’t limited to a single race! Every year, Topas Travel puts on a true four-day trail festival in Sa Pa. The event is one of the few races on the World Trail Majors circuit, with its 50 km and 100 km, and it brings together the international elite as well as enthusiasts of all levels.

That’s how the week takes runners on a journey through Lào Cai Province, at the foot of Fansipan, the roof of Indochina 🧳. Created in 2013, the VMM has become the must-attend trail running event in Vietnam: for its 13th edition (September 17–20, 2026), it brought together nearly 5,500 runners from 54 countries, sold out months in advance. The routes pass through ethnic minority villages (Hmong, Dao, Tày), buffalo trails, forests, and ridgelines—often accessible only on foot. After getting the heart rate up on the 10 km, a great introduction that finishes at the Topas Ecolodge finish line, then on the 21 km (around 900 m+), the 50 km (48 km and 2,700 m+), the 70 km (70 km and 3,900 m+) and the 100 km (101 km and 5,300 m+), it’s time for the legendary 100 miles, 163 km and 8,600 m+, to bring this VMM edition to a glorious close 🏃‍♂️.
