When to sign up for the Boston Marathon lottery draw?

There isn’t really a classic lottery draw in Boston: registration is done by application with a qualifying time, achieved at a qualifying race. For the 2027 edition, it takes place from September 14 to 18, 2026. A random selection (Boston Qualifier Selection) complements the process for applicants close to the cutoff, with responses in early October.
