Where is the start of the Venice Marathon and how do you get there?
The start of the Venice Marathon is in Stra, in front of the Villa Pisani, 25 km west of Venice. Free shuttles leave from Tronchetto (6:50 to 7:20 a.m.) and from Mestre station (6:40 to 7:20 a.m.) for a 9:40 a.m. start. The Venice Marathon advises against driving: the area remains difficult to access.
