Cave Bear Run 2026

This is one of the most atmospheric mountain runs in Poland, held in Kletno (Stronie Śląskie Municipality). The race name is no coincidence – this is where the famous Bear Cave is located, where the remains of thousands of Ice Age animals were discovered. Starting here, you’re literally running in the footsteps of prehistoric predators! The routes lead through some of the wildest and most charming corners of the Eastern Sudetes. Technical trails, dense forests and breathtaking views await you, and the Sudetes in this area can really show their claws! 📈⛰️

Once you’ve “escaped” from the cave bear and check in at the finish line, the areas around Kletno and Stronie Śląskie offer recovery, nature-style:

Tour of the Bear Cave: Since you’re already here, it’s a must. Just remember to book tickets in advance! A walk among incredible rock formations at a constant temperature of about 6°C is the perfect cool-down for an overheated body. 🦇💎

Stara Morawa Reservoir: located just a stone’s throw from Kletno. It’s one of the highest-altitude artificial reservoirs in Poland. A swim in clean mountain water with a view of the mountains is the best cryotherapy for tired legs. 🌊🏊‍♂️

Trip to Śnieżnik: If your legs somehow still want to work, hike up to the summit of Śnieżnik to the new observation tower. A 360-degree panorama of Poland and the Czech Republic is a reward worth every effort. 🔭🏔️

Earth Museum in Kletno: It’s located right next to the route. You can see fossilized dinosaur eggs and amazing minerals there. A calm visit is a good way to “walk off” the race. 🦖💎

The region is famous for farming Kłodzko trout.
