This is the big news 🆕 of this edition, a route of 20.5 km including 290mD+.
This circuit, coupled with the 6.1 km course and the 12.8 km one, will take you, after a loop in Chanoz-Châtenay, towards Les Bassettes. Head towards Le Brûlé next, even if we hope you're not burned out by your effort yet 😅. Those living near the place called Pins will witness your state as it's a stage that will be part of your adventure. You will then take the route of the field pond 🎣, so if you want to cool down the engine's heat, you'll know where to go for a dip. Return to the starting point, but the time to raise your arms hasn't come yet. A final loop will be required, cutting between Le Brûlé and Les Pins where you can unleash, not a dive but your best burst of speed ⚡️, before crossing the finish line. 🏁
Just like its little sister of 6.1 km, the ChaveyNo'Z Tour event of 12.8 kilometers will also start at the Stade de Chanoz-Châtenay 🏟. With its 177mD+, the race is also accessible for beginners, but also for seasoned runners seeking thrills! 😉
During the first 2 kilometers, you will make a small loop around the town to fully soak in the streets of this small village in the Ain. Admire along the way, the magnificent Saint Martin Church, of Romanesque style and dating from the 11th century ⛪️ (purists will say it was the 12th 😂). After that, head towards Les Bassettes to pick up the route of the other event. ✌️
Run on the farmlands and farms of the region's inhabitants and admire the magnificent Ain landscapes on your path, with the livestock as your main spectators! Moo! 🐂
Upon reaching Joannin, it will be time to leave the course taken by your fellow runners who opted for the shorter distance. Sadness 😢! Because yes, you will continue for the remaining 6 kilometers. But it will also be your place of refreshment. Yeeees 😜! After recharging, it's off again for more trails and paths through fields and meadows for 5 kilometers before discovering the Châtenay Castle, an old fortified house from the 11th century. 🏰
The time has finally come for you to start the final stretch, with an epic sprint that will bring you in front of Saint Martin Church once more before crossing the finish line, in front of all your friends who came to cheer you on! 👏
It is at the level of the Stadium of the commune that the start of this nature race of 6.1 kilometers will be given 🌳. The distance remains very accessible and can even be run in costume. Atmosphere guaranteed! With its 104 meters of positive elevation, the course is quite flat, don't hesitate to make your first strides at this event! 🏃♂️
The loop will take you east, towards the land of the rising sun 🌅. Rest assured, you won't go all the way to Japan 🇯🇵, but only to the Bassettes (the place, not the hens 😂), to start this adventure in Ain. Then, climb back through the agricultural lands of the region through the local farms. 🤗
The trails and paths you will run on will be very relaxing and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenery that unfolds before you 😍. When you arrive at Joannin at the 4th kilometer, it will be time to head back to Chanoz-Châtenay to complete this loop 🏁. So it's a straight line of 2 kilometers that you will need to complete, pushing yourself to achieve a time worthy of a Finisher! 🏅
