Ready to set off on a race organized in support of a Marg-nificent cause? 💝
You may already know the Children Without Cancer Race thanks to the summer edition that starts in June, but here we want to tell you about its exact twin 🗣️. This event takes place at the end of September, when the heat tends to ease and the weather becomes more pleasant. No need to wear yourself out in a real oven: the average temperature in Saint-Cloud at that time of year is generally 20°C 😮💨. Ideal for chasing a personal best over the distance of your choice. And yes, you’ve guessed it—if we’re talking about a record, it’s because several running formats are on offer: 2 km, 5 km or 10 km—to each their own nemesis 🐺.
But if you head to the Hauts-de-Seine in the Île-de-France, it’s not just to enjoy the tarmac and the fast, rolling course profile. The real treasure of this event is its very essence 🤩. You run for a very specific purpose and you give meaning to every stride. Indeed, the Children Without Cancer Race and its cousin, the Children Without Cancer City Race, are both organized in support of the Imagine for Margo association 💶. So you can shut down anyone who tells you “yeah, but running is useless...” : here you have a real impact on research and on funding studies aimed at understanding and curing children with cancer ❤️🩹. In short, it’s the perfect opportunity to get back into sport once the summer holidays are over and to move forward a cause that truly matters 😉.
As for distances, you can choose between 2 km accessible to everyone, to share the experience with the family; 5 km of walking for the lazier ones (or simply those who don’t want to rush); a 10K road race for the time-keepers; or finally a 5K run 🏃 version, for those who want to get the effort over with as quickly as possible while still committing to a good cause 😂. No excuses possible: even remote runners can compete for the title of top performer by lining up for the connected 10K 🛜.
If you come in person, take the opportunity to discover the area: you can stay nearby and turn it into a mini getaway 😎. Settle into the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud and weave your way through the dense forests surrounding the former site of the castle, or head to the Seine to catch your breath by the water 🐠. Still nearby, you’ll also find the famous Bois de Boulogne, where you can let your mind wander and stroll along its little wooded paths 🌿.
You run, you share, you support: here, every kilometer has heart, and that… that’s worth all the medals in the world! 🎗️
A word from the organizer:
