Since 2004, IronCat has been resonating through the small town of L’Ampolla with the rhythm of a triple challenge 3️⃣. You are about to sign up for a triathlon fit for champions🏅. And not just anywhere! 👆 You will find yourself at the Delta of the Ebro, in the region of Baix Ebro, in Spain 🇪🇸. Swim, ride, and run along the Catalan coast, isn't that the dream? 🤩

In October, IronCat invites you to choose your side between tough... and very tough 💪. You can choose between the Full Ironman distance and the Half distance. The Full is 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling, and 42 km running (pfff, too easy 🙄). The Half is 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling, and 21 km running 🏃. On the swimming part, you dive into the Natural Port of Fangar, a rectangle to be completed twice at the start and end of Club Nàutic de l’Ampolla 📍. Then, saddle up! 🚴 A 30 km bike course to be done 3 or 6 times, straight, flat, a delight to speed up ⚡️. We hope you won't have the Catalan wind against you, it could spoil the fun 😕. To finish, you drop the bike for a run on 7 km loops 🔄, featuring a route made of asphalt and dirt paths. This triathlon brings you close to the audience and volunteers who will cheer you on to the end 📣. Here, no fuss: you come for the stopwatch ⏱️, the smiles, and that village atmosphere that makes you forget the pain of the last kilometers 🥵.

And once you cross the line? It's time for comfort and Catalan flavors! 🦐 Enjoy your stay in L’Ampolla to discover the rice fields of the Ebro delta 🌾. Every year, about 135,000 tons of rice are grown there. We won't count how many chicken rice dishes you could make, but it's a lot 🍗. Then, take a stroll in the Ebro Delta Natural Park, and even push on to Tarragona for a shot of Roman culture. Oops! We almost forgot the most important: the post-race meal 🤤. The area is full of typical Catalan restaurants 😋. Sit down facing the sea to enjoy a fideuà or a zarzuela piping hot 💨 (a sort of paella without rice 🥘). You can also enjoy some fresh oysters 🦪. And above all, toast to your performance with a good glass of Cava (in moderation, of course) 🥂. In short, in L’Ampolla, you come for the triathlon... and you extend the stay for everything else! 🧘
