The event in a few words

Close your eyes for two seconds and imagine: you breathe in the fresh savanna air, sunglasses on your nose ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ, and suddenly, just a few meters away, a giraffe ๐Ÿฆ’ gives you a funny look during your jog ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Stop dreaming, this will now be possible if you pack your bags for the Kenya Wildlife Marathon ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ช, in the month of May. The temperatures will be mild in Kenya during this period so leave your heavy coat in the closet along with your tank top ๐Ÿ‘•. In the heart of the mythical Great Rift Valley ๐ŸŒ, sport and wild nature ๐Ÿ† will become one. Picture the wildlife documentaries? Well, you will be immersed in one of those, but in a running version. The ultimate experience ๐Ÿ˜Ž. Upon your arrival in Nairobi ๐Ÿ™๏ธ, you'll realize you're not just there for a simple race ๐Ÿ…. You're embarking on a true journey โœˆ๏ธ.

The first day, you will arrive in Nairobi for your welcome and lodge accommodation ๐Ÿ . The next day, you will discover the local culture and go on a safari in the giraffe sanctuary ๐Ÿ›–, in the Nairobi National Park, and visit the Karen Blixen museum. The following day will be your big race day ๐Ÿ’จ. You can choose between 4 distances, you lucky one: the Marathon (42 km), the Half-Marathon (21 km) ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ, the 10 km or the 5 km. Regardless of the distance you choose, each route will offer you a visual spectacle ๐ŸŒ„. Stay firm on your feet, don't forget! ๐Ÿ˜… The track will weave between plains and hills โ›ฐ๏ธ, with zebras ๐Ÿฆ“ as your royal spectators, antelopes ๐ŸฆŒ, and sometimes a buffalo ๐Ÿฆฌ that might seem curious ๐Ÿ‘€. But don't worry: the rangers ๐Ÿ‘ฎ will ensure everything goes smoothly. Rest assured, no runner has ever been a snack for animals in the reserve. At dawn on the 4th day, you'll enjoy a safari at Lake Nakuru National Park, exceptionally beautiful especially at sunset ๐ŸŒ…. Finally, for the last 2 days, you'll end your adventure with an unforgettable safari in the famous Masai Mara Reserve ๐ŸŒณ. Itโ€™s going to be a feast for the eyes! ๐Ÿ˜

The Kenya Wildlife Marathon will also be a meaningful race ๐Ÿ’š. Part of the funds raised ๐Ÿ’ฐ will finance educational projects ๐Ÿ“š and protect the local wildlife ๐Ÿ“. In short, running here, you won't just be thinking about your time โฑ๏ธ: you'll be part of something bigger. Your strides will resonate for future local generations ๐Ÿ‘ถ and for the protection of the planet ๐ŸŒฑ.

And after the effort, it will be time for comfort. Recovery won't be with ice packs ๐ŸงŠ, but with a 4x4 safari ๐Ÿš™. You will see flamingos ๐Ÿฆฉ, rhinos ๐Ÿฆ, and maybe even a lion ๐Ÿฆ. As for the food ๐Ÿด, you'll taste the famous nyama choma (spicy local barbecue ๐Ÿ”ฅ), snack on samosas ๐ŸฅŸ, and savor the Kenyan coffee โ˜• that will wake even the most tired legs. For souvenirs ๐Ÿ›๏ธ, you can return with colorful Maasai fabrics ๐ŸŽจ, artisanal jewelry ๐Ÿ’Ž, and wooden sculptures ๐Ÿชต. Your living room has never been so stylish. So yes, you will come to run, but you will leave with so much more ๐Ÿ’ซ: an immersive experience in a local culture, a unique connection with wildlife, and an extraordinary human and sporting adventure ๐Ÿ†.

So, are you ready to put on your running shoes ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ and roar in victory with the lions? ๐Ÿฆ

4 reasons to join this race

Running in the wilderness ๐ŸŒต
Nowhere else can you experience the sensation of running surrounded by giraffes, zebras, and antelopes (no danger, it's just a way of speaking ๐Ÿค“). Your marathon won't just be a sporting event, it will be a safari in sneakers. And believe us, every step will make you feel like you're in The Lion King ๐ŸŒ….
Travel and run, the ultimate combo ๐Ÿงณ
You won't only come for D-Day, but for a complete adventure. You'll discover Nairobi, meet the Maasai and dance with them before even lacing up your running shoes. After the race, you'll go on a safari in the Masai Mara and fall asleep under the world's most beautiful sunsets. No need for a passport stamp at the airport, this race will be the perfect excuse to turn your bib into an explorer's passport โœˆ๏ธ.
Running for a good cause ๐Ÿคฒ
Every meter you run will support educational and wildlife conservation projects. Your strides will have an impact beyond your time: they will help future local generations and preserve animals you may have encountered on your route. This marathon will give you the rare satisfaction of putting your energy into something that truly matters โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน.
Memories to last a lifetime ๐Ÿคฉ
Yes, you'll get a medal, but it will be almost secondary. You will leave with unforgettable memories, stories to share, and improbable anecdotes: โ€œat km 30, I sprinted because a buffalo gave me a sideways lookโ€ ๐Ÿคช. You will also bring back local products, taste the traditional Kenyan cuisine, and have the certainty of having lived a unique moment โœจ.
