The event in a few words

Get ready for a solid dose of trail running in Marki! This event is the perfect escape from the asphalt jungle straight into nature’s embrace. The six-kilometre "Marki Cross-Country" route leads through scenic—and at times demanding—forest paths, where natural obstacles, roots, and sandy climbs await you. It’s a race with character, where it’s not only pace that matters, but technique too.

Once you’ve shaken the mud off your shoes and picked up your medal, Marki and the surrounding area offer great options for recovery:

Relax at the Mareckie Educational and Recreation Centre (MCER) – after a tough off-road run, nothing hits the spot like a visit to the pool or sauna. It’s one of the most modern and most eco-friendly facilities in Poland!💦

A walk by Lake Czarne – located in the heart of the forest, the lake (also known as Lake Kruczek) is an oasis of calm. The perfect place for a cool-down and a moment to breathe among birdsong before heading back to the city🦆.

A historical walk through the workers’ housing estate – Marki has a fascinating history tied to the textile industry. See the distinctive red-brick buildings (the so-called Briggs tenement houses) that give the town its unique atmosphere🧱.

Marki borders directly on Warsaw, so you’ve got plenty of great cafés and restaurants within easy reach. A proper Italian pizza or a craft burger will taste incredible after burning hundreds of calories on the forest tracks for lunch🍕.Remember that Marki is a runner’s gateway to the Słupecka Forest and the Mareckie Woods, so it’s the perfect starting point for anyone who loves cross-country!
