Set course for the Rock: after several years away, triathlon is back on the streets of the Principality 🇲🇨. And for a comeback, the organizers didn't do things by halves: three days of racing, two triathlon formats and a timed climb as an appetizer ⏱️.
It all starts in the water, at Larvotto beach. An M to discover Monaco in a new way, with a 1000 m swim, 45 km bike ride and 9 km run 🚴♀️. An L for those who want to take on the challenge: 2000 m, 93 km and 19 km. In both cases, you can go solo or as a relay of three, each on their own playing field.
The bike takes you up to the heights, where the Mediterranean looks small below. Then comes the showpiece: a 3.8 km loop on fully closed roads, from the seafront to Place du Casino, with a large part on the asphalt of the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit. Five laps for the L, a little over two for the M. Few running races in the world offer you a setting like this 🏞️.
The day before, cyclists' legs have a date in Menton for the Trophée des Alpes-Maritimes: 12.8 km and 905 m of elevation gain up to the Col de la Madone ⛰️, a climb that pros have used for thirty years as a benchmark of form before major events. Three hundred bibs, starts every 20 seconds, refreshments and music at the summit.
Between two efforts, the Principality can be visited quickly and well: the Oceanographic Museum, the terraced gardens, the old rock of Monaco-Ville. And if the hinterland tempts you, the same organizer also puts on the Ultra Trail Côte d'Azur Mercantour, a way to extend your stay on the trail side.
A next-gen platform helping sports enthusiasts of all levels discover territories and heritage through races tailored to them.
