The event in a few words

Set course for the city of Düsseldorf, capital of North Rhine-Westphalia 🇩🇪. The program invites you to devour a format as prestigious as it is explosive: the famous New Balance Kö Meile. Leave your race-management urges in the locker room—we’re talking about the legendary Mile (1.609 km) (although the event also offers a 5K). Your body will have to go into the red from the very first second and hold a relentless pace if you hope to blow up the stopwatch on this straight-line course! ⏱️

The asphalt route launches you into a setting of absolute elegance. Your effort will have you cutting through the air on the world-famous Königsallee (nicknamed the "Kö"), the luxury boulevard of the Rhineland metropolis. The immersion is intense: you’ll bounce along flawless asphalt, lined on one side by high-fashion storefronts and on the other by the central canal. You’ll feel like you’re flying right through the city center, carried by a raw effort where the pull of speed is phenomenal and every tenth of a second counts 🌳.

Here, the atmosphere feels like track meets, but transplanted right into the street. Spectators crowd as close as possible to the barriers, banging on advertising boards to cheer you on in a deafening roar. An atmosphere of pure euphoria welcomes you under the finish arch, where hyperventilation quickly gives way to the pride of having left it all out there 🏅.

Save one last hint of appetite to honor the warm Rhineland culture once your lungs have calmed down. Carry your overheating body to the legendary old town (Altstadt, nicknamed "the longest bar in the world") to devour a traditional Halve Hahn (which, contrary to its name, isn’t half a chicken, but a small rye roll topped with a thick slice of gouda, onions, and mustard) or an unmissable Bratwurst. Above all, celebrate your supersonic sprint by raising a glass of good Altbier, Düsseldorf’s typical amber beer, served nice and cold. Switch into "sprint" mode and come make the Kö smoke! 💥
