The event in a few words

The Półmaraton Gdański is your best excuse to discover Gdańsk in “a city on the move” mode: a big city-centre event, an atmosphere that carries you along, and that exhilarating feeling of running where history and the sea meet 🌊.

You can choose between two formats: the 21.0975 km for a true long-haul journey, or the 5 km night race to put stars in your trainers (and in your eyes)! 🌙

And if you’re coming as a tribe, it’s even better: there are also kids & juniors courses, perfect for turning the weekend into a mini family adventure, with everyone having their own finish line and their little moment of pride 🧒.

My local tip: arrive a bit early to soak up the city, then after your race, keep your legs in strolling mode and stay around the start area to enjoy it. Go for a walk in the Old Town (Długi Targ and its colourful façades), stop by the Neptune Fountain, climb up to St. Mary’s Basilica for the view, then head over to breathe in the air along the Motława quays around the historic crane Żuraw 🏛️.

To finish on a high note: settle onto a terrace by the riverfront, or head out to Brzeźno for a sunset over the Baltic if you still have a bit of energy… Gdańsk is the race that makes you travel, and the trip that makes you want to run again ✨.
