"You are tired, we are not tired", at least we hope not, given the weekend ahead, better have a restorative sleep 💤.
Running and feasting, now that's a beautiful combination! 😎 Come on, get your ticket for Mâcon and come move to the Run & Fest✨. For two days, yes yes, two days, you can enjoy a very friendly atmosphere, at a true festival! 🎊 On this occasion, they have the honor of holding the title of "First festival in France, combining running, art, and music": how classy 🤓. Naturally, running is the king of this event 👑. To honor that, they have selected the 3 legendary distances: a 10 km, a half marathon, and a marathon 🏃♀️. So whether you're a lover of running or a true asphalt gladiator, you're catered to ✅. Not to forget the weather, oh the weather, it might scare us, but not this time 😄. In May, in Mâcon, temperatures range between 10° and 23°, perfect for enjoyable strides 🧘♀️. Between art, music, and running, it promises to be memorable 💭.
The weekend's program, you understand, promises to be rather busy 🔥. Let's start with the main event: the races 🏃. With a fast and accessible track, the 10 km is perfect if you want to test yourself or challenge yourself 💪. For more challenges, you can also work on your endurance and embark on a half marathon 🤪. 21.097 km to cover, setting off at dawn and discovering the surroundings, as one should 🙌. Otherwise, just go for the legendary distance: the 42 km. A marathon can be either exciting or frightening, but here, given the preparation, you'll only love it 😋. Expect a motivating atmosphere, generous refreshments, a wonderful course, and above all, a festive spirit throughout 🎉. The rest of the time, you'll spend enjoying and having fun 💃. Starting Saturday afternoon, concerts will bring the site to life 🎤. In the evening, it's the grand finale: Kavinsky, king of electro 🎶, will honor you with a mixing session to "spice up" your Saturday night. The whole day will be filled with artistic shows 🕺, musical performances, meetings, and food courts 🍟. Not to forget the runners' start of course, which will take place in the morning ⏰. Ah, and we almost forgot about the crazy challenge set by one of the organizers! 🥸 At 5 PM on Saturday, Mathis will attempt to break a French record, by running for 24 hours on a treadmill 🤯. To cheer him on to the fullest, save your voice after the concerts! 💥
After a well deserved finish line, it's time to enjoy and continue to explore the surroundings 📍. Nearby, the Cluny Abbey, dating back to 910 (so it turns out you're not that old ), possesses an extraordinary charm 🏰. A bit of peace and quiet might be needed, so why not do it on a boat? 🚣 With the Saône right beside you, you can take a relaxing cruise 😌. To continue exploring, you can also stay in the city of Mâcon 🏙️. Its alleys, its monuments, its visits, there is plenty to do... Okay, we say explore, but in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, it seems that gastronomy must be tasted 😋. Of course, beef bourguignon will be at the forefront, and œufs en meurette a close second 🥚. For sweet tooths, the gâteau de ménage or Toutché, though it has special names, is typical of the region 🥧. Remembering it is to be consumed in moderation, the wine of Burgundy is likely one of the best in France, so don't miss out 🍷.
