The event in a few words

Get ready for one of the most "aromatic" runs in Poland! Sandomierskie Biegi Kwitnących Sadów is an event held at the most beautiful possible time—at the turn of April and May, when the Sandomierz uplands turn into a white-and-pink sea of blossoms. The route runs through the picturesque areas of the Samborzec municipality and the surroundings of Sandomierz, winding between thousands of blooming fruit trees. It’s a run where the scent of spring blends with the scent of competition, and views of snow-covered (with blossoms!) orchards make even the toughest uphill feel like pure pleasure 🏃‍♂️🌸🍎.

Once you cross the finish line and soak up the spring sunshine, the Sandomierz region will take care of your recovery in an exceptionally natural way:

Picnic in the Orchard – after the race, the event atmosphere often moves straight onto the green grass. It’s the perfect moment to rest under a tree that in a few months will bear the famous Sandomierz apples. Nothing calms your pulse like relaxing in the heart of nature 🌳🧺.

Underground Tourist Route – if, after running in the sun, you’re looking to cool down, Sandomierz’s underground cellars are a bullseye. Half a kilometer of subterranean corridors and vaults beneath the market square is not only a history lesson, but also a constant low temperature that works like natural cryotherapy for your warmed-up muscles 🧱🔦.

Walk along the Pepper Mountains – the oldest mountains in Poland (technically uplifted Cambrian shales) – offers an incredible view of the Vistula River. You’ll find wild roses and unique vegetation there. It’s the ideal spot for a restorative walk with a view that takes your breath away (no longer from exertion, but from awe!) 🏔️🥀.

Tasting local products – the Sandomierz region is a hub of fruit processing. Apple purées, pressed juices, and the famous Sandomierz preserves are an excellent source of fructose that will quickly replenish your energy stores after the start 🥤🍯.

For lunch after the Blooming Orchard Run, it’s worth heading to local inns serving Świętokrzyskie cuisine. Try Świętokrzyska zalewajka or dishes with added fruit—Sandomierz chefs can conjure real culinary wonders from apples and plums that will satisfy any athlete’s palate 🍲🥧.

Remember, taking part in this run isn’t just a fight for time, but above all a celebration of Poland’s most beautiful spring. Will your form manage to blossom in time for the start among the Sandomierz orchards? 🏁
