Get ready for one of the most beautiful, most spectacular, and most magnetic races in Poland!
Tarczyński Night Wrocław Half Marathon is a legendary event that electrifies the running community every year. When the June sun dips below the horizon, the streets of Wrocław turn into a vibrant, neon-lit arena, through which rolls a many-thousand-strong, multicolored torrent of human dreams, passion, and incredible energy!
The distance is the classic 21.097 km, but the setting of this race completely defies standards. The start and finish are located in the monumental, historic Olympic Stadium, which in nighttime illumination looks like a spaceship. The event’s hallmark is live classical or film music played at strategic points along the route, illuminated bridges (for which Wrocław is famous), and dense, loud cheering from thousands of spectators who party in the streets until late at night!
After a fantastic finish on the turf of the Olympic Stadium, you’ll pick up a stunning, unique medal (which every year is a small work of art), and Wrocław invites you to nighttime and daytime recovery in true championship style:
Nighttime chillout by the Oder and Słodowa Island: After the race, don’t head straight back to the hotel! Wrocław comes alive at night like no other city. Head to the bustling Oder boulevards or to Słodowa Island to celebrate your success among thousands of other runners, with the rush of the river and the glow of streetlights 🌊 at night.
Wrocław Market Square and Cathedral Island: The next day, as part of a recovery walk, visit the second-largest market square in Poland with its beautiful Gothic Town Hall. Then head to Cathedral Island – the oldest, historic part of the city. A stroll along its cobbled streets, where you can still meet a real lamplighter hand-lighting gas lamps, is the perfect mental reset 🏰.
Hunting for the Wrocław Dwarfs: A brilliant way to gently “wake up” tired legs. There are already several hundred small bronze dwarf figurines hidden all over the city. Finding even a dozen of them is great fun and a chance to see the city’s hidden corners 🕵️♂️.
Hydropolis and the Afrykarium at the Zoo: If you’re staying for the weekend, visit the unique, ultra-modern water knowledge center (Hydropolis) or the Afrykarium at the Wrocław Zoo. Walking through an underwater tunnel with sharks and rays swimming overhead is an amazing experience and relaxing in a cool, pleasant atmosphere 🦈🐠.
Tarczyński Night Wrocław Half Marathon is an event you simply have to experience at least once in your life. The atmosphere of the start under floodlights, the glow of bridges reflected in the Oder, and the roar of thousands of voices at the finish inside the Olympic Stadium guarantee goosebumps and memories that will stay with you for life … ✨ Conquer Wrocław under the cover of night! 🏁🌌
