The event in a few words

Zombie aleeert! ⚠️

Once upon a time, in the heart of an ink-black night when the mist wrapped around the slag heaps, a horde of hungry creatures decided to take control of Pas-de-Calais 🧟. This isn’t the start of an old grimoire, but the scenario awaiting you in the Hauts-de-France region! 🎃 In October, the Loisinord site in Noeux-les-Mines, between Béthune and Lens, turns into a theater of TOTAL chaos for Halloween 🎃. Forget sweet little walks to collect candy—here, we’re talking about a real invasion where your only mission is to run to save your life 🧟. If you’re terrified of the dark or the undead, it’s the perfect moment to test your sprinter reflexes and your all-out mindset against hungry creatures 😈. The atmosphere promises to be worthy of the best horror movies like 28 Days Later, where every dark corner of the structure can hide a monster ready to hunt you down 💀. We advise you to lace up your running shoes very tightly and adjust your headlamp, because the hour of collective panic has struck for the survivors 🔦.

The weekend of horror is built around two days with a program designed to send your heart rate through the roof 🫀. On Friday, it’s time for the Zombie Night Trail, a particularly intense night race over 10 km where speed will be your best ally to shake the monsters in the dark ⚡️. You dive straight into the dark underbelly of Loisinord, discovering an artificial ski slope transformed for the occasion into a true corridor of dread ⛷️. The next day, the vibe switches to tactical mode with Zombie Alert Orienteering 🧭. The concept is ruthless: you have 1 hour, stopwatch in hand, in a team of 2 to 6 people, to hunt down as many hidden checkpoints as possible before getting caught🫣. It’s a formidable, ultra-tricky playground where you constantly alternate between survival sprints, desperate escapes, big screams, and nervous laughter with your partners in misery 👯. For those who aren’t afraid, the orienteering race is open to children (with an adult to protect them—they’ll come back alive, right 👀). The course is made up of mini-adventures and huuuuge smiles 🤗. And then, if you’re not that into running, you have the unique opportunity to sign up as a zombie for one night to spread terror 🔦.

After crossing the finish line in one piece and avoiding a fatal bite, the organizers treat your post-trauma slump with a memorable party 🥳. No way are they letting you freeze up from cold sweats—we all gather as survivors around a wild DJ set blasting music to exorcise the fear (it's close to miiidnight 🎵). Empty stomachs will find immediate comfort from the food trucks set up at the heart of the event 🍔. It’s the perfect time to kick off an intensive, indulgent recovery session with crispy waffles and comforting crêpes, isn’t it? 🥞 Once calm returns, make the most of being in the mining basin to debrief your nighttime feats, analyze your missed orienteering strategy, or simply savor the fact that you’re still alive 🍻.
