The Vercors Marathon is one of the season’s must-attend events for high-altitude road running. Find out everything you need to know about this event in the heart of the massif and check out the results from the latest edition! ⛰️
The Vercors Marathon is not a marathon like the others! It’s the highest road marathon in Europe, offering an exceptional route entirely nestled at over 1,000 meters above sea level, in the heart of the magnificent Vercors Regional Natural Park.
That’s how the race takes traditional asphalt to new heights 🏃♂️. Far from the summer heatwave, the course offers a 100% green large loop linking the villages of Villard-de-Lans, Lans-en-Vercors, Autrans and Méaudre, with the highlight being the crossing of the legendary Col de la Croix Perrin at 1,218 m altitude. Whether you line up for the flagship distance of 42.195 km, the 20 km or the 10 km, the physical challenge promises to be as demanding as it is spectacular.
