To stay close to the start of the Dublin Marathon, aim for the south city centre, between St Stephen’s Green and Merrion Square: the start is on Leeson Street Lower, the finish on Mount Street Upper, all within walking distance. Ballsbridge is a handy backup, close to the bib expo at the RDS. Book early: the Irish capital welcomes 22,500 bibs for the Dublin Marathon.
