Felix was born in the heart of the Meuse department on March 25, 1994. Since his adolescence, Félix has been running in races and achieving performances ⚡️. By alternating cross-country, half-marathon, and marathon, he has managed to set records and make a notable place for himself among French athletes 🇫🇷.
Beginning his competition journey in 2011 in cross-country and winning 🏆 the French Championship of 3,000 m in Dreux, Félix is an athlete specializing in long-distance running 🏃 since he was 16 years old. But, as often is the case, running is not a smooth ride. In 2015, Félix fell into an unhealthy spiral 👎. Junk food, lack of sleep, ineffective recovery... a routine unsuitable for the running world, greatly impacting his motivation ☹️. Failed races, being overtaken by younger, more motivated, better-trained athletes, and a significant decrease in self-confidence followed. His coach began to hesitate about his talent and maturity 🧠. A wake-up call and realization, a change was needed. Re-motivated, Félix Bour took his courage and pen 🪶, and wrote a letter to his coach Michel Poiter. “I'm done making mistakes”, a strong phrase reflecting his self-realization. With a rapid impact 💥, today, this fall has surely been beneficial, when one looks at this athlete's record.
Starting from 2021, major events began and scores followed. In October, he claimed the first place on the podium at Marseille-Cassis 🌊, delivering a magnificent race against Morhad Amdouni. A truly exceptional feat, as this victory ended 30 years of domination 💪 by African athletes in this iconic race. As a team, also with the gold medal around his neck, his team finished first in the European Cross Country Championships 🇪🇺, in Dublin. The following years also allowed him to accumulate other medals. He became French Champion in 2023 and 2024 at the 10 km 🥇. In 2024, his participation in the Olympic Marathon made his country proud, finishing 50th in the overall ranking but notably the 3rd Frenchman ✨. The year 2025 was marked by a masterful performance in the Seville Half Marathon. With a time of 1h00’00 flat, his time placed him in the 5th position in the French historic ranking for this discipline 🤩. But that's not all, just one week later, he claimed the title of French Elite Champion in cross-country, for the first time in his career.
Today, Félix Bour is making a notable name for himself among French athletes, consistently achieving, victories and noteworthy performances, ever since the beginning of his career 🔥.
