The Oxfam Trailwalker: A Surge of Solidarity

Stop chasing the wind and take a breath during the Oxfam Trailwalker 😮‍💨. In 2026, the iconic walking event returns to Nancy and Dieppe 🍽️. This event, organized in support of the fight against inequality, puts competition on the back burner and emphasizes sharing and solidarity 💕. You might not go home with a medal or trophy, but we assure you, you'll see more smiles and collect more memories than on any other hike 😉.

A Concept Both Simple and Original ✅

Initially developed in Dieppe, the principle of the Oxfam Trailwalkers is to cover a distance of 100 km as a team. But no passing the baton here: everyone must participate from start to finish 😎. You will need to support each other and stick together throughout the race 💪. Don't dawdle, your team has a maximum of 30 hours to cover the distance from start to finish. To give you an idea, that's about 3.3 km/h. So, are you tempted? If you're still wondering why walk for so long, here's the answer: collaboration, sharing, and solidarity. Because yes, we didn't mention, but to participate you don't just need stylish shoes and a motivated team 👟: you also need to raise at least €1,500. Don't worry, the organizers don't keep it all for an end-of-year banquet. The funds raised are donated to Oxfam France, a citizen association fighting against poverty and inequality 🫶. To summarize briefly: the Oxfam Trailwalker is a 100 km walk, representing a real sporting achievement, where you can catch up on all the latest gossip from recent years, while contributing (simply by walking) to the fight against inequality. Hard to find a better pitch, isn't it?

Dieppe, the Annual Classic 🤪

For almost 7 years, the city of Dieppe, located in Seine-Maritime, in the beautiful region of Normandy 🐮, has hosted the Oxfam Trailwalker for a wild weekend. Although the event was born in Burgundy in 2010, the organization quickly saw the potential of the northern France 🇫🇷 region. With its coastline, countryside, and local atmosphere 🎉, the Dieppe editions had everything to succeed. It worked so well that a 50 km version emerged a few years ago 🤯. This way, the race that benefits everyone is also accessible to all! 🙃 In 2025, 367 teams mobilized to participate in this solidarity event, raising more than €550,000 💶. As we often say: “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind 👨‍🚀” (though in this case, 100 km amounts to a significant number of small steps 😅).

Nancy, a Successful First Edition 🥇

Following a successful first run sometime in 2025, the Nancy team decided to organize another edition of the Oxfam Trailwalker, relocated to Nancy. Forests 🌳, heritage, trails and watercourses, the small town of Nancy and its surroundings are also full of marvels to discover 🤩. Plus, since you'll depart from Nancy and return less than 30 hours later, you can also take the opportunity to visit local wonders: the magnificent Place Stanislas (just the 4th most beautiful square in the world 🌍), the Parc de la Pépinière, or the old town district 🧱. It's immediately clear why the first edition was successful 👀. Between visits, you can also dive into the famous quiche Lorraine 🍕, known to be unbeatable anywhere else 🤤.

And lastly, the little bonus of the Oxfam Trailwalker is that the 2 races do not occur simultaneously 😋. Yes, you heard right: you can join both starts and kill two birds with one stone 🪨. One event, two races, two starts, two achievements, twice as much funding for international solidarity actions 💗.

In May and July, it's running brisk walking!🚶
