6 Hours of Pornic 2026

"Billions of blistering barnacles"! In Pornic, it’s the roller skates that set sail for 6 hours of gliding along the coast! 🌊

Ready to lace up your skates for a new challenge ? 🛼 This town is the postcard of Loire-Atlantique, where the sea air lashes your face. The town has plenty to charm you, with its imposing 14th-century castle overlooking the Old Port ⛵️. But make no mistake : the charm of the customs officers’ path and its wild panoramas will give way to a real track where you can make your roller wheels squeal. On the running and gliding side, the environment is perfect: the sea air clears out your lungs and the terrain gives you little surges to get your thighs burning 🥵.

We’ll see you for this very first edition of the 6 Hours of Pornic. This challenge is organized by the Virage à bâbord club and the concept is very simple 🤌. It’s 6 hours of gliding on a smooth course, designed so everyone can heat up the asphalt without a driver’s license and have fun 🚗. The start is given in the morning. No question of being late, or you’ll have to chase the leaders all afternoon! You show up, you rack up wheel turns, track laps, and you fire off relays to blow up the kilometer counter 💥.

And once the effort is done? Comfort! 😮‍💨 You’ll be able to set the skates down and go for the real aid station: a good ice cream, a bowl of cider and a butter-loaded buckwheat galette that will send your cholesterol through the roof 🧈. It’s local heritage paying a visit to your sore thighs! Pornic is the art of blending effort with the charm of the Atlantic coast. In short, whether you come to smash the clock or to carve your best port-side turns, one thing is certain: you’re going to suffer, but you’re going to love it. Put on your protective gear, get your mind ready, and come glide until your thighs beg you to stop!
