If you haven't heard of this race, it's time to check it out! ๐ Come September, head over to Attard, a quaint town in the heart of Malta, for the Attard 5K! ๐ With this short distance, you're sure to smash your personal record ๐ (or at least finish if it's your first 5 km).
What's on the agenda? A 5 km road course ๐, perfect for stretching your legs while enjoying the serene charm of this gem nestled in the center of the island ๐๏ธ. This relatively short distance allows you to achieve a great performance ๐ . Pssst even if you finish walking, no one will scold you ๐. In fact, you can complete the 5 km by walking ๐ถ. And the cherry on the cake ๐: you can team up by joining an team and run together. The younger ones also get their moment of glory with a 1.5 km race just for them, introducing them to the joys of running ๐คฉ. The course takes you through two loops of 2.5 km around the Centenary Stadium, the National Football Centre, and into the Ta'Qali National Park ๐ฒ.
And once you've crossed the finish line (with your medal proudly hanging around your neck), take some time to explore Attard and its surroundings ๐. Slow down to wander through the flowered lanes, admire the elegant gardens of San Anton Palace, the official residence of the President of Malta. Take the opportunity to visit Mdina, the "Silent City" ๐คซ perched nearby: its ramparts offer an incredible view of the entire island, you won't be disappointed ๐. On the culinary side, Malta won't leave you hungry โ. After the effort, find a terrace to enjoy a ftira (a Maltese sandwich filled with tuna, capers, and fresh tomatoes), taste the famous hot pastizzi, or treat yourself to a delicious rabbit stew, a local specialty ๐. Of course, wash it all down with a glass of Cisk, the local beer, and cheers to your run. As they say here: Sar tajjeb u sahha "Health and bravo"! ๐ป

Come and run through the streets of Attard, right in the heart of Malta. The 2.5 km course takes you around the Centenary Stadium, the Ta'Qali Football Stadium, and through the lush greenery of the Ta'Qali National Park ๐ฒ. You'll also run along Triq San Gakbu Street ๐ฃ๏ธ. You'll complete the loop twice to reach a total of 5 km ๐.
The 5 km course can be completed by walking ๐ถ. No more excuses not to join in ๐.
You can collect your race bib at Eurosport BโKara on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11 am to 2:30 pm.
The races will start from the outdoor gym on the old Ta Kali track:
5 km: 7:00 am
Kids' race: 7:45 am
No, it's not mandatory. However, you must present a PPS certificate dated within three months of the race date.
