The event in a few words

Deutsche qualität? Ja! German quality never disappoints, and their races even less... 😎 Let's not beat around the bush: we present you no more, no less than the Buchholzer Bahndamlauf! This race takes place in September, in Buchholz in Rhineland-Palatinate. While the event offers several routes suitable for all levels, from walking and 5 km and 10 km runs, to the Semi-Marathon👯‍♂️, the aim is not performance. Nope. In fact, the race is for the benefit of children with cancer, and just for that, you run with your heart ❤️. This charitable spirit made in Germany is a perfect opportunity to push yourself 💪 while contributing to a good cause! 😊

Of course, we talk about running here 🏃‍♂️, but the Buchholzer Bahndamlauf is also a moment of life and sharing that locals and participants adore 😍. In Germany, we love to gather around the table! Sure, the course is fairly smooth 🫨, but after the refreshment stops, chances are it will be you who rolls 😂. A big cake buffet 🧁 will await you after the effort, and the refreshment bar will be open-bar.

If Buchholz is a peaceful little corner of the countryside 🌾, its surroundings offer you a real breath of fresh air and German culture within reach of sneakers... or a bike 🚴‍♀️. The trails of Dreiherrensteinweg or the strolls towards Lökestein immerse you in a peaceful nature, between dense forests and rocks steeped in history 🪨. A good way to stretch your legs, away from the marked tourist trails 👣. For a bit of local heritage, visit the chapel of Sauerwiese or the Kirche St. Pantaleon ⛪. Okay, it's not the Cologne Cathedral, but these small places have a simple and sincere charm. On the cultural side, go a bit further to Sayn to visit its romantic castle 🏰 or to Marienstatt, a Cistercian abbey nestled in the valley, with its local craft brewery that you must try 🍻. And to reward yourself for all that? You can stuff yourself as it should be 😋: go to the Gasthaus Höfer or Gasthaus Stroh, you won't be disappointed! 🥨
