The event in a few words

If you love it when a race feels like an adventure more than just a bib number, the Ronde de la Châtaigneraie in Montsalvy is made for you 🌰.

Here, you come to feast on the forests and the atmospheres of the Cantal, in true nature mode—the kind that smells of wet leaves and undergrowth, with that little “we set off to explore and come back with stories” vibe 🍂.

You choose your playground: 12 km to enjoy yourself without burning out, 28.6 km to challenge yourself, 43 km for a great outing, 68 km for a big crossing, or the 70 km relay if you want to share the effort and the good moments (and keep the right to tease your friends)! 🤝

And after the finish, don’t rush off right away: stay nearby—it’s worth it. Take a stroll through the heart of Montsalvy for the village atmosphere, stop by the Montsalvy abbey church for a break that brings the pressure down, then go for a walk around Marcolès (a nearby character village) to extend the stroll and settle on a terrace.

If you’re coming as a duo or with family, pair it with a getaway to Conques (a gem at a reasonable distance), perfect for an easy walk, nibbling local treats, and ending the day with your head full of images. You’ll see: here, you don’t just run in the Chestnut Grove… you come back easily.
