The event in a few words

Dreaming of running in the footsteps of a demigod? 🏛️

Perfect timing! The next city to welcome you is in the province of Cádiz, which, according to legend, was founded by Hercules 💪. That’s right! It’s in Chiclana de la Frontera that your next half marathon takes place 💨. So, if you too dream of completing 12 labors 21 kilometers, head to Andalusia in April 🌸.

Did you know? The 12 Labors of Hercules mention “finishing a half marathon in Chiclana” 🏃. Obviously, that’s false ❌. But why not write your own story? ✍️ What makes this event unique is its dream course 🤩. You’ll run in an idyllic setting between town and nature 🌴, starting from the Sancti Petri port 🛥️, a little slice of paradise bordered by the Atlantic Ocean 🌊. From the very first kilometers, you run alongside Sancti Petri beach 🏝️. To your right, the ocean stretches out and, in the distance, perched on its rock, the mysterious Sancti Petri castle 🏰, the remains of an old military fort 🪖. To your left, luxury hotels roll by along the Chiclana coast 🏨, and that’s only the beginning. You continue along La Barrosa beach, listed in the Michelin Green Guide as one of Andalusia’s most beautiful beaches 😍. Flat, open, fast: it’s the perfect moment to lock into your pace and aim for your new personal best 💥. What’s more, April weather conditions are ideal: mild, dry, with just enough wind to prevent overheating 🥵. At kilometer 6, you leave the shoreline to enter the luxurious world of Novo Sancti Petri. Then you head onto the Real Novo Sancti Petri Golf Club, designed by the legendary Severiano Ballesteros ⛳️. Watch out, green ahead! 🏌️‍♀️Then, a change of scenery: you leave the chiclana world of the hotels toward the Bay of Cádiz Natural Park, where the Chiclana salt marshes await you with their shades of white and pink 🦩. We promise, you’ll really appreciate a soothing setting to calm your exhausted heart over the final kilometers 🧘.

Save a bit of energy to explore this region ⚡️. Chiclana has white alleys and historic buildings such as the San Juan Bautista church, the Santa Ana hermitage and the Torre del Reloj ⛪️. The town lies on the Ruta del vino 🍷: head to the wine and salt museum right in the city center 🏙️. If you’d rather relax, Andalusia’s largest hammam awaits you at Novo Sancti 🧖. Finally, if your heart is still beating to the rhythm of castanets 🫀, know that just two short hours’ drive away, Seville’s Fair will be in full swing that weekend 📍. Flamenco, traditional outfits, horses, and endless tapas are waiting for you 🎉.

So, ready to make your legs dance like a flamenco dancer? 💃
