Your effort begins on the edge of the shimmering waters of the Mediterranean before rising brutally toward the legendary pueblos blancos (white Andalusian villages) perched on the side of a mountain. The immersion turns rough as you tackle formidable passes (like the famous climb to Peñas Blancas), where shade is scarce and the gradients show no mercy. You’ll get the thrilling sensation of pedaling between sky, sea and arid rock, carried by the demands of the course.
