The event in a few words

So, you feel like participating in a first? 🥇

For the very first time, the city of Estepona in Andalusia is launching its own marathon at the start of October! The Estepona Garden of the Costa del Sol Marathon is the new must-attend event on the Costa del Sol offering two formats to test your speed: a half-marathon for speed enthusiasts and the marathon for those with nerves of steel 💪. This is a first edition, so it's now or never to unpack your bags in southern Spain, when the sun is still generous but the sea air cools you down 😌.

The course is specifically designed to delight your timer: it's flat, it's fast, and it breathes performance ⏱️. But it also opens the event to a wider public: bring your family and friends, it's the time to pin your first bib on a first edition! You will cross the historic center with its 25,000 hanging flower pots 🌸 before heading to the seaside. Yes, you can cover the 23 km of the coastline of the municipality in one go! 🌊 You will also pass by the largest Orchidarium in Europe 🌍, with its futuristic glass domes making you feel like running towards the future 🌿. It's a perfect ground to chase a personal record without being hindered by any incline 😜.

The atmosphere promises to be electric, as the entire city is waiting for this event with incredible enthusiasm ⚡️. Yes, it's southern Spain, where we know how to party right! 🎉 We're here not just to sweat, but to feel alive. Once you've crossed the finish line 🏁, the post-race program is already set: a dip at Playa de la Rada or a boat trip to see dolphins with your family 🐬. You can even peek at the mountains of the Sierra Bermeja that watched over your entire race ⛰️. Estepona is the perfect mix of competition adrenaline and the sweet Andalusian lifestyle 😎. It's time to show you've got more juice than a Malaga orange! 🍊
