The event in a few words

Heatwave alert for your calves: the GravelMan Series is landing on the Riviera in November! ☀

If you think the French Riviera is just about sipping a cocktail on La Croisette đŸč, get ready for a serious reality check. For this 2026 edition starting from ThĂ©oule-sur-Mer, in the Alpes-Maritimes, we’re taking you on a fully self-supported adventure where your sweat might shine brighter than the glitter. On the menu: the series’ usual formats so everyone can find their happiness (or their suffering): Gravel for dust lovers and Road for asphalt addicts 🚮.

Numbers-wise, there’s no messing around, with distances of 60 km, 120 km, 200 km, 350 km, and for the boldest, a flagship distance of 500 km. It’s time to see whether your cardio is as solid as the region’s reputation đŸ€Ș. The terrain profile? It’s a bit like trying to climb the steps of Cannes’ Palais des Festivals, but for two days, with at least 800 m D+ in your legs (for the 500 km, you’ll get 10,000 m D+—already a lot less fun 😬). You’ll leave the coastline and head into the Provençal hinterland, where the relief turns abrupt and wild đŸȘ». It’s a setting worthy of a Hitchcock film, between sea and mountain, where every turn delivers a breathtaking panorama (if the elevation gain hasn’t already done it) 😼‍💹. Far from the “laid-back” clichĂ©: here, the terrain is demanding, rocky, and gives your legs no break đŸŠ”.

The GravelMan Series DNA is pure freedom 🍃. No tape every 10 meters and no all-you-can-eat buffet along the way. You’re alone with your GPS track and your doubts, in chic survival mode đŸ€“. The vibe is both electric at the start and introspective once you’re deep in the massifs ⛰. You might share a stretch with other adventurers, but it’s against yourself that you’ll earn your “finisher” status đŸ„‡. It’s a chance to discover secret roads that even locals avoid on Sunday afternoons 👀.

And since we know you don’t ride on mineral water alone, the area is a gem for post-effort recovery. After you cross the line, we recommend getting lost in Le Suquet in Cannes for the history đŸ›ïž, or heading out to the Gorges du Loup for some freshness 💩. And of course, go explore the viewpoints in ThĂ©oule-sur-Mer 🌅. For local fuel, dive into a piping-hot Socca at the Forville market or a PissaladiĂšre that smells of confit onions. It’s greasy, it’s delicious, and it’s exactly what you need to fill the hole in your stomach after so many kilometers 🍕.

So, ready to trade your tuxedo for bib shorts and become the star of the PACA region? đŸ€” Swing a leg over your steed—the start is imminent! ⚡

4 reasons to join this race

A striking land-and-sea contrast 🌊
Riding with the Mediterranean as a backdrop before taking on the peaks of the Southern Alps is a guaranteed visual split. You’ll go from palm trees to pine forests in the blink of an eye. It’s one of the few places where you can see snow in the distance while your feet are in the sand đŸ–ïž.
Self-sufficiency in the service of adventure
Here, nobody will push you up the climbs or fix your flat. It’s you, your bike, and your effort management in a wild and sometimes hostile setting. It’s the school of resourcefulness that forges the best race memories đŸ› ïž.
Sunshine as a faithful companion ☀
The French Riviera in November means incredible light and temperatures that are often milder than elsewhere. It’s the perfect vitamin D “boost” to end your cycling season on a high note 🚮.
The record for panoramic elevation gain 🌅
With a km/D+ ratio that would make a chamois blush, this route is a real challenge for climbers. You’ll string together lesser-known passes offering 360° views over the entire coastline đŸ”ïž. A personal record of “wow” per kilometer guaranteed 😍.
