The event in a few words

"He entered my heart, a share of happiness, whose cause I know..." 💕

And yes, Édith Piaf had discovered it before everyone else: true happiness is being able to set off on a charity road race, lost right in the middle of the Hauts-de-France 😊. Okay, sure, maybe we’re taking a little liberty with the lyrics, but it still works pretty well 🎤. Running in good spirits for a charitable cause, surrounded by your family, your friends, or your kids: what more could you dream of? Plus, you can choose from a whole bunch of distances, so you really won’t feel the effort go by 😮‍💨.

In October, forget the early-autumn gloom and head to Hesdin in the north of the country for Hesdin Rose 🌹, a must-attend event in the region. Lovers of nature, committed runners, and young beginners will all find something that suits them (and if not, they can always run barefoot—the natural setting makes it totally doable 😂). Routes from the "4 km Family Hike" to the "10 km Trail" are offered. In short: lots of accessible courses, without major difficulties, but that still let you test yourself against the competition if you feel like stepping on the gas 💨. And since the event aims to be as inclusive as possible, the "4 km Family Hike" is also open to para-sport and to people with reduced mobility 🧑‍🦽. That way, everyone will be on the same start line 🏁. You’ll be in for a treat: between the Canche and the Ternoise running through the town and the surrounding forests, you won’t be short on greenery 🌳.

But after choosing one of the following events: the "5 km Hike ", the "10 km Hike", the "4 km Family Hike", the "Trail 5 km" or the "10 km Trail", don’t forget to enjoy the moment and the surroundings 🏞️. The routes are not timed, so let yourself be swept away by the setting and the warm atmosphere on site 🔥. Before it’s sport, Hesdin Rose is above all a collective commitment! 💖

Once you’ve crossed the line, don’t rush off to shut yourself in your room right away (to listen to Edith Piaf, for example 🎧)—the surroundings of Hesdin have plenty of wonders in store for you ✨. If you feel you’ve already explored the very center of the small town enough, you can go discover the charming medieval town of Montreuil-sur-Mer, renowned for its ramparts and its picturesque little streets 🌺. There, the moules-frites and the fricadelles of Pas-de-Calais are more invigorating than anywhere else 🤪. For a family outing, Aqualud in Touquet-Paris-Plage will delight young and old alike! 🌊 Just watch the season though—in October it can be chilly depending on the weekend 🥶. If you want to continue your nature conquest, the Bay of Somme offers you a magnificent relaxing and wildlife-watching getaway by the seaside. And to end on a local note, regional cheeses such as Maroilles or Dauphin will do the trick perfectly—promise! 🧀

So, ready to rub shoulders with the Hesdin crowd? 👀

4 reasons to join this race

A big-hearted race ❤️
Here, registration matters more than performance: each bib supports a charitable cause, and you can even make additional donations if you want to take it to the next level 🤝. All the routes are non-timed, as if to remind everyone that "Hesdin Rose" is run first and foremost for the cause. Crossing the finish line becomes as much an act of solidarity as an individual effort 🏁.
An event designed for everyone 🫂
The 4 km "Family Hike" is open to people with reduced mobility and to para-sport, so that as many people as possible can enjoy the local celebration. No one is left by the roadside 🙌. With the two 5 and 10 km trails and the three 4, 5 and 10 km hikes, everyone can choose their distance depending on how they feel that day or on their level 🔥. Children, grandparents, and seasoned athletes can run or walk side by side, before all meeting up together at the finish. An organization that focuses on coming together rather than ranking.
A green setting between two rivers 🌱
The route runs along the Canche and the Ternoise, which pass through the town before reaching the wooded outskirts of Hesdin 🌳. This double presence of water and forest gives the course a rejuvenating feel, far from the usual asphalt. Plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, since no one is watching the clock.
A themed day: pink 💝
We’re really fixated on Edith Piaf, but Hesdin Rose is the perfect chance to put the namesake song on repeat 🔁. And if you really want to go all-in on the theme, no one’s stopping you from showing up dressed as a little pig or carrying a bouquet of fragrant flowers 🌷.
