The event in a few words

Do you have plans in March? ๐Ÿ‘€ We hope not because we're expecting you in Mions with 1 or 3 of your friends for a crazy challenge! ๐Ÿคช The gym Be Sport Be Free (with this name, you're sure to give it your all just by arriving at the gym ๐Ÿ”ฅ), welcomes you and your crew to bring it on. On the agenda ๐Ÿ“‹, a good HYROX challenge in a team or in a duo ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง’โ€๐Ÿง’. With a mix of running and fitness, it's a good detox ๐ŸคŒ. 

The concept is simple, 16 stages, consisting of 8 km of running ๐Ÿƒ and 8 functional exercises. The whole sequence is staggered as follows: 1 km of running then 1 fitness exercise ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ repeated 8 times. Quite simple on paper, right? But you may wonder, what are the different functional exercises? ๐Ÿคจ In HYROX, there are several tests that make you move and sweat ๐Ÿ˜ฐ. You pull, push, throw, lift, rowโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ’ฅ We start with the arms with 1,000 m of skierg ๐Ÿ’ช. As the name suggests, it looks like your arm movement when you're gliding on ski slopes โ›ท๏ธ. Second exercise, 50 m of sled push, where you push with all your might โšก๏ธ to move the โ€œsledโ€. You then follow with 2,000 m of bike. If you're a bit bilingual, you understand that this time, you'll be pedaling fast for 2 km ๐Ÿšด. Fourth exercise, 80 m of burpee broad jumps. Finally, a series not weighted with your body weight, but one of the most dreaded ๐Ÿฅต.

We're already halfway through the challenge, only 4 exercises left! โœจ After skiing, it's time to row ๐Ÿšฃ. You'll continue with 1 km of rowing, pushing with your legs and pulling with your arms. A bit of calm for the 6th exercise ๐Ÿง˜, with 200 m of a farmer carry. A little weighted walk, where the best is to go all out! ๐Ÿ’ฃ Two more exercises, starting with 100 m of Sandbag Lunges, now it's starting to pull on the thighsโ€ฆ ๐Ÿฆต Finally, the last exercise and not the least: 100 wall ball ๐Ÿ. A nice sequence: a squat and a weight throw above your head. Yes, on paper it was simple ๐Ÿ“, but upon closer inspection, it's not the same! But as we said, you won't be alone! ๐Ÿ‘ฏ This event is done in 2s or 4s. So all you have to do is persuade your friends to take on this crazy challenge! ๐ŸŽ‰ What's certain is that you'll be proud of yourself at the end ๐Ÿ˜‹. And since they really think of everyone, they even organize a race for kids ๐Ÿง’. Enough to bring the whole family together for a beautiful afternoon! But it's not over, because to top it all off, there'll be a food truck on-site ๐ŸŸ, so even your cravings are invited ๐Ÿ˜. With that, all conditions are perfect for a good time ๐Ÿ˜Œ.

After such an exertion, it's better to recover calmly ๐Ÿ’ค. Just about twenty minutes by car is the beautiful city of Lyon ๐ŸŒธ. A walk in the Parc de la Tรชte dโ€™Or will have you walking to avoid soreness ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ. With a nice tour, you can even visit the zoo inside ๐Ÿฆ’. Otherwise, a simple visit to the city will suffice, the beauty of the streets will make you forget everything! For that, stroll around Vieux-Lyon or on the Presqu'รฎle, along the banks ๐Ÿชท. And to recover even better, as we know, a good meal is the best ๐ŸคŒ. Book a table in a Lyonnais bouchon, and the flavors will be there. And to finish well, a good sweet touch ๐Ÿ˜›, preferably Lyonnais. Nothing better than a praline brioche, soft and indulgent ๐Ÿž.
