The Catalan city boasts several advantages: it’s festive, located by the sea, has a fantastic climate ☀️ The mountainous areas surrounding <a href="kavval://cities/85f33e2d-9c77-4334-8f26-7147e4a1a60d" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Barcelona</a> are breathtaking, starting with Montserrat and its namesake <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbey_of_Montserrat" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">abbey</a>... A must-see view and location! Alongside <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antoni_Gaud%C3%AD" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Antoni Gaudí</a>, who left his mark on Barcelona, the Spanish painter is one of the country’s most well-known artistic symbols 🎨. The provincial cultures are very strong in Spain, a country organized into 17 autonomous communities. Thus, visiting the Giralda, a former minaret turned part of a cathedral, symbolizes this rich history. In the south of Spain, along the famous Guadalquivir River, you can experience the charm of Flamenco, a living art form deeply cherished by the Andalusians. Guaranteed to stir emotions. Beware, it gets extremely hot in the summer 🥵... Fortunately, the streets of Seville, one of Europe's most visited cities, offer plenty of shade. As Spain is a very dry country, if you're looking for cooler and more humid conditions, you can head to the North and discover Galicia, Spain's Brittany... Heading back towards France, along the Camino de Santiago, the Spanish Basque Country is also a fantastic destination... Not to mention the mountain ranges ⛰... Spain is the birthplace of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%ADlian_Jornet_Burgada" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Kilian Jornet</a> for a reason! The country's average elevation is 600 meters, making it one of Europe's most mountainous countries, along with <a href="kavval://countries/0d0fc1fd-d482-4e2e-bb65-33ff7952e880" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Switzerland</a> 🇨🇭 and <a href="kavval://countries/2c726160-e4f6-45a7-9a0e-8623d5873747" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Austria</a> 🇦🇹. The Sierra Nevada in Andalusia is Spain's most famous mountain range. Its highest peak, Mulhacén, reaches 3482 meters.
