The event in a few words

Ahhh, the desertโ€ฆ ๐Ÿœ๏ธ A word that conjures up a thousand images, a thousand species ๐Ÿฆ“โ€ฆ and lots of love! ๐Ÿซถ

Far from Instagram dunes ๐Ÿ“ฑ and tourists, there is a raw and authentic territory: the desert of the Moroccan Oriental ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. This is where the Love Trail โค๏ธ will take place. The concept is simple: 5 days of escape in the Sahara with 3 days of trail covering a total of 84 km. All of which are 100% female! ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ And let's talk about the climate โ˜€๏ธ. Late October in Morocco is the perfect time: neither the summer heat ๐Ÿฅต nor the winter cold โ„๏ธ. Temperatures between 20ยฐC and 28ยฐC, generous but not aggressive sun, and cool nights (from 10ยฐC to 13ยฐC) make the bivouac very pleasant ๐ŸŒ™. In short, you'll sweat a little (it's the desert, after all), but without ending up dehydrated like a raisin ๐Ÿ‡.

Regarding the course, the organizers have designed it to be accessible without being too calm ๐Ÿคซ. The distances are engaging (84 km in total, that's quite something!), but intelligently divided: 32 km on day 1, 20 km on day 2 to recover a bit, then 32 km on day 3 to finish in style ๐ŸŽ‰. You will pass through landscapes each more unique than the last, secret sand valleys, rocky plateaus ๐Ÿชจ, โ€ฆ It's still a trail after all! ๐Ÿƒ Sometimes, you will encounter Berber nomads who will smile at you ๐Ÿ˜„ as if you have always been part of the landscape ๐ŸคŒ. Moments that give you goosebumps ๐Ÿ“. The event takes place in 3 loops around a fixed bivouac โ›บ๏ธ. Say goodbye to the stress of carrying all your gear for days ๐ŸŽ’: your sleeping bag, personal belongings, all stay warm at the base camp. Each morning, you leave light with just your trail vest and each evening, you return to the cozy bivouac with a superb atmosphere โœจ. You'll be able to chat under the stars (without light pollution!), have lots of laughs around a mint tea, and make new friends from around the globe ๐ŸŒ.

Your adventure will begin in Oujda, in the east of the country. At the airport โœˆ๏ธ, shuttles ๐ŸšŒ will take you to the place where youโ€™ll sleep for the coming nights โ›บ๏ธ. The next 3 days will be full running, 84 km hop hop hop! ๐Ÿ‘Š That's why you came! ๐Ÿค™ The last day will be dedicated to your transfer back to Oujda airport.

You can always choose to stay a few more days to visit this fabulous region that is the Oriental area. In Oujda, don't hesitate to visit the Lalla Aicha park ๐ŸŒณ: it is full of colors and greenery! ๐ŸŒˆ It's the perfect place for a peaceful moment or to read in the shade of trees ๐Ÿ“–. If you want to bring back souvenirs, head to the Oujda souk. You're sure to find your happiness ๐Ÿ’Ž. Concerning food, Morocco has plenty to tickle your taste buds (and maybe make them tingle a bit if you're not careful ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ). By a bit, we obviously mean a lot ๐Ÿ˜…. You absolutely must taste the local couscous ๐Ÿฒ, and the pastilla. It's a kind of pastry with fish or poultry that goes down easy. If you're into sweet/savory, sprint to grab one quickly ๐Ÿ’จ. For drinks, the country offers a multitude of local fruit juices ๐Ÿงƒ. Super refreshing after 3 days of trail!

So, are you ready to fall in love with Morocco with the Love Trail? ๐Ÿ˜

4 reasons to join this race

An accessible but challenging adventure ๐Ÿ’ช
The Love Trail is the perfect balance between a "Sunday chill running outing" and a "deathly ultra." The 84 km is divided into 3 stages over 3 days: 32 km, 20 km, and 32 km. There's no monstrously steep elevation gain at first glance, although the organization keeps it a surprise. However, you'll face varied terrain, so you'll need to stay focused between rocky, stone, and sandy sections. You can walk, run, alternate between the two, depending on your mood for the day. The pace is never imposed! Do you want to watch the sunrise over the dunes? You can. Want to chat with your race neighbor? You can. Want to put on your headphones and lose yourself in your thoughts? That's possible too. It's YOUR adventure! ๐ŸŽ’
100% female event ๐Ÿฉท
The Love Trail breaks the mold by offering an experience designed by and for women. There's a benevolent collective energy where everyone brings their strength, experience, and humor. Some come for physical challenges, others to reconnect mentally, and others simply to share an adventure with strangers who might become lifelong friends. And spoiler alert: you'll leave with strong bonds. Sweating together brings you closer ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ.
Desert bivouac operation โ›บ๏ธ
One of the major highlights of the Love Trail is its fixed bivouac. Every evening, you return to the same base camp, allowing you to recover quietly without having to dismantle/reassemble everything each day. Your belongings stay there, your sleeping bag awaits, and you can even leave some items you don't want to carry in your trail bag. But most importantly, the bivouac becomes a real living space. The evenings are magical: mint tea shared under the stars, deep conversations with girls you just met, laughter around a hot dish... It's simple, warm, human. Many participants say that these moments, more than the kilometers traveled, leave the strongest memories ๐Ÿœ๏ธ.
An experience that will change you โœจ
Well, it's a bit clichรฉ, but we'll say it anyway: the love trail changes the women who participate. After 3 days of walking/running in the vastness, cutting yourself off from daily noise, sharing real moments with other women, something changes in you. You reconnect with your body, your breath (yes, conscious breathing changes your life), to the essentials. Participants often leave with reinforced confidence, a sense of personal pride, and sometimes even the desire to come back the following year. Because once you've tasted that freedom, it's hard to let go ๐Ÿ˜.
