In the stronghold of Indre-et-Loire, in Tours, we meet at the end of September 🗓️ for the Marathon, 10 km, and 20 km of Tours, the region's must-see event 📍. Coinciding with the resumption of sporting competitions, it's like a back-to-school moment for the locals 👨🏫. With its exceptional historical heritage, it's an opportunity to (re)discover the Touraine and its cultural richness.
Let's take you on a tour! 😉 Several thousand runners tour the city on classic distances: the 10 km, the 20 km, as well as the traditional marathon. The 42.195 km distance is also available in a "duo" format 🔗. But that's not all! The organization also offers a Nordic walking format 🚶🏼♂️ of 10 km, timed or not ⏱️, for those who want to enjoy the sublime course in another way 😜. The event also includes a 13 km wheelchair race, specifically for para-athletes, and races for youngsters! 🧒 That's it, the game is on! Now you just have to choose to race through the former capital of France 🇫🇷.
On the program of your Tours adventure, a landscape steeped in history 📕 : between the former Marmoutier Abbey, the Saint-Martin Basilica ⛪, the Napoleon Bridge, the Mirabeau Bridge or the Old Tours district (isn't that a lot?), we hope you can maintain some concentration to stay straight! ➡️ And as if that wasn't enough, Tours Castle 🏰 will also be part of the journey (or rather the race 😅)! It's clearly the main Tours-istic attraction of the area: the Châteaux of the Loire are all remarkable, often bordered by gardens ⛲️ or watercourses 💦 that enhance them further. We particularly think of the one in Chambord, Chenonceau or Amboise 😍. But leave the discovery of these iconic monuments for later, brave finisher 🗡️, and return to tackle the course routes 🐎. And since the environment is mentioned, know that you will be served on this point as well. You will take the circuit of the Loire à Vélo 🚲, this incredible 900 km cycling-touristic itinerary that makes you discover splendid landscapes along the Loire. Coming back to the starting city, the race's finish 🏁 will take place on the Place Anatole-France, at the top of the famous Rue Nationale ✨.
Apart from breathtaking landscapes 🌬️, you will be able to move to the rhythm of the music groups 🎵 scattered throughout the course 🕺. Indeed, the atmosphere and the welcome prepared by the locals will be simply incredible 🤩. Crowds of spectators will gather to admire your lovely strides 👏. Not far from your finish area, you will find the Place Plumereau 🪶 which will relax you after the race: the locals are proud to say that it's the best place in France for an aperitif! 🍻 With its old half-timbered houses and the festive atmosphere that reigns there, you can stroll and enjoy a slice of rillettes (local specialty 😌) or a piece of Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine AOC 🐐 accompanied by a nice little glass of local wine: Bourgueil, Chinon, Montlouis or Vouvray, there is a wide range of choices! 🍷
Toursnicoti, Toursnicoton, here comes the Marathon, 10 and 20 km of Tours !

Here's a marathon that will get your heart racing! 🥵
Starting from the Quai Paul Bert, you'll head straight towards Rochecorbon. After this straight path to warm up, you'll explore the East of the "city" of "Little Paris", a bit like taking a tour of the Parisian suburbs, with some greenery thrown in 🤪. 20 km, that's the distance you'll need to cover before reaching the Loire quays 💦. You'll pass through the Grand Ormeau communes, admire the Château de Jallanges, and go through Vernou-sur-Brenne and Vouvray. To keep your pace, there's a 5 km stretch along the Loire. The 30 km wall will be just a formality, and then you can cross the Pont Mirabeau, enjoy the historic center of Tours, and cross the finish line at Place Anatole-France! 🏁
Want to have company during your effort and share the route in two? This Marathon Duo is made for you 😜. The route is exactly the same as the solo marathon 🤓.
Want to embark on a historic getaway through the streets of the former capital of France? This 20 km is for you. Grab your sneakers and head to the Indre-et-Loire at top speed! 🏃
The start will be given at Quai Paul Bert, like the other events! You'll follow the riverbanks up to Rochecorbon and turn back to reconnect with the Loire for 5 km. You've completed half of the course by the water's edge 💦, it's time for you to take the Pont Mirabeau to do your last 10 kilometers in the heart of the historic center of the city of Tours 🏙️. Well done, you can proudly raise your arms under the finish arch on Place Anatole-France 🏁.
Welcome to a legendary and accessible 10 km distance that allows you to enjoy the joys of running while offering the opportunity to achieve your best time ⏱️. If you too want to join the 7,000 runners of this very special event, now's the time to start! 💪
Like the other distances, you'll start at Quai Paul Bert and head to Quai de Marmoutier. You'll retrace your steps to cross to the other side of the river 🌉. A slight climb to cross the Pont Mirabeau (the only small difficulty of the course) and then run along the Loire again (it never leaves you 😝)! This end of the race will lead you through the Old Tours neighborhood, with one last push at the Place du Monstre offering a fantastic finish near Place Anatole-France 🏁.
