Let’s go for the Auxerre Marathon and its Terroirs! It will take place in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region and offers four distances: 7.5 km, 13 km, a half-marathon, and a marathon 🏃♀️. Something to delight all road running fans, whatever their level! 😬
The race takes you and your friends through all the historic and natural sites of Auxerre 🤌. You’ll even be able to taste some local products at the aid stations… 😋 But you won’t be able to linger there—watch the clock! ⏱️ Also, an event village with activities, music 🎵, tastings, and services for participants will be set up for the occasion 🎪. A race that’s all about meeting people and joy! With this race, you’ll discover Auxerre, a city of art and history, the banks of the Yonne, the city’s public parks, the AJ Auxerre football club ⚽️, the village of Escolives-Sainte-Camille... 😯 Yours to enjoy: the city’s medieval and Gallo-Roman heritage, its half-timbered houses, the discovery of the Gothic Saint-Étienne Cathedral, but also the vineyards 🍇, the castles, the forests, and gentle hills... You got it: this race is a fabulous blend of city, heritage, history, and nature! 🤩
The advantage of these races offering a great range of distances is that you can bring people along with you. Especially since the period is perfect for outings! ☀️ Rest assured: you’ll have plenty of ways to make up for it after the race, whether you decide to stay in Auxerre or get away a bit in the Yonne department. Otherwise, if you like painting, you can head to the Zervos Museum, named after Christian Zervos, an art critic, publisher, and friend of painters 🎨. You’ll find works by Picasso, Giacometti, Kandinsky, Le Corbusier, Miró… And so many other wonders! 🌟

It all begins at the city’s marina⚓️, along the banks of the Yonne 🌊. From there, runners head north for the first five kilometers of this marathon. You’ll come back along the quays, the true lungs of the area 🌬️. This cheerful bunch will then set off toward Vincelles, renowned for its vineyards, passing under the Paul-Bert bridge (dating from 1889) and then crossing the Parc de l’Arbre-Sec 🍂.
You’ll then pass near the AJ Auxerre club ⚽️ before heading back up once again toward the river. The towpaths and locks will be yours all the way to the village of Escolives-Sainte-Camille, known for its Gallo-Roman heritage 🏛️. Vincelles will mark the halfway point, with the other part devoted to crossing wine-growing villages and new paths. You’re going to enjoy yourself—this is shaping up to be a fast, flowing course! 🛼

For the runners of the half marathon, it’s simple: the start takes place at the halfway point of the marathon 🏃. Vincelles will therefore be your starting town, and all the runners will head back up toward Auxerre by crossing charming wine-growing villages 🍇 and taking a few lovely towpaths lined with locks. Anyone who has already run on this kind of terrain knows it goes fast! 🚀
The finish of the race is not far from the Saint-Étienne Cathedral ⛪️, one of the many historic monuments in Auxerre.

Runners in this 13 km race are treated to a beautiful course laid out by the organizers, passing through the finest vineyards 🍷 in the area, crossing the forests and taking in the gentle hills of the Yonne, all the way to the river of the same name 🌊. The start is in Venoy and the finish is scheduled in the center of Auxerre 🏁.

The grand start of this race will take place at the city marina of Auxerre 🛥️. It’s your turn to take on the quays along the Yonne, before heading up the Rocade Bridge. Like the other runners, you’ll get to enjoy the local towpaths, all the way to the Chainette lock, before sprinting at full speed toward the Liberté footbridge and the finish 🏁.

No, it isn't mandatory; however, you will need to present a PPS certificate dated less than one year from the race date.
You will be able to find the bib prices online when registration opens in mid-September.

Many free parking lots will be available near the start: Boulevard de la Chaînette, Saint-Vigile, Cathedral, Boulevard Vaulabelle.
For Half-Marathon runners and the "Venoy Trail" (13.5 km), shuttles are provided from Auxerre (Parc Roscoff) to the starts in Vincelles and Venoy. Seats on the shuttles must be booked during your registration.
