Moonlight Half Marathon 2025

The race is about to begin! In the stadium's stands, the crowd is going wild. Behind the scenes, the players runners are getting ready ⚽️. It's always the same routine. First, the left leg. Always. Sock, shoe. Then the right leg... The runners are now ready to take off 🏃‍♂️. No offense to Zizou, it's in Materazzi's country where the match the race will take place, specifically in the city of Jesolo, just a few kilometers from Venice in Italy 🇮🇹! The sun has just set here 🌅. Only the moon now illuminates the Veneto region… In the background, you can hear the day's last waves crashing on the sand 🌊! Lost in your thoughts, you almost forget you're about to run the race of your life! 👑 The referee then blows the starting whistle! And off you go for the Moonlight Half Marathon🏆.

But where exactly is Jesolo 🇮🇹? Good question, Jamy! Jesolo is a seaside town located half an hour's drive from the Venice airport in the Veneto region of Italy! This charming town has nothing to envy from its neighbor! The sea, the beach, the monuments, the grand squares that give Italian cities their charm 🏛… It's all there! Jesolo features a series of fine sandy beaches stretching nearly 15 kilometers!

So, what about the race itself? For your information, the race takes place at the end of May and starts shortly after 7 PM🏃‍♂️! The weather is expected to be absolutely perfect for running, with temperatures ranging between 17 and 23°C! Add to that the adrenaline of participating in a fabulous race and a relatively flat course… It seems all the elements are there for you to set a record and achieve an excellent performance 🏆! In fact, there are not one but two courses to choose from: a 10 km and a half-marathon.

The sea, the sunset, the white sandy beaches, a gentle sea breeze 🌊… The scene is set for this Moonlight Half Marathon. A flat course awaits you as you follow a trail - without major elevation changes - throughout the race🏃‍♂️! The race will start at Piazza Milano 🇮🇹. Here, you'll also find the Moonlight Village, offering a range of services before and after the race: bib collection, exhibition area, award space, and more. Then, you'll run alongside the Canal Cavetta🏞 for a few kilometers, a river navigable all the way to Venice🛶! Following that, you'll discover the splendid fishing port of Cortellazzo🐟, home to many pleasure boats! Towards the end, you'll have the chance, or rather the privilege, to run along the beach🏝! Only the moon will light up the stunning scenery before you 🌙! But don't worry, the beachfront section will be paved... No ankles will suffer from this winding path 😅! Finally, the finish line will be back where it all started, at Piazza Milano. You'll be cheered by supporters, who flocked in large numbers that night to celebrate the final victory ⚽️!

The real advantage of this race? Along the way, you'll find refreshment points with water every 5 kilometers! Plus, you'll receive a medal... A sort of golden ball for runners 🏆.

And what do you do after the match the race? After the effort comes... The reward (well spotted)! For this, we recommend heading to Piazza Mazzini in Jesolo's city center, to sip a little spritz 🍸 accompanied by its squid ink "pastas", a regional specialty of Veneto 🇮🇹! You can also enjoy the nearly 15 kilometers of beaches surrounding the town! Lastly, take a stroll along Via Bafile, a pedestrian street where you'll find a series of charming shops!

The referee has just blown the final whistle. The match is already over, and you're already reminiscing about your best moments... Memories forever etched, a legendary match... I think after such a race, one could die in peace 🏆.
