Despite Zizou's opinion, the match, or rather the race, will take place in Materazzi's country, and more specifically in the city of Jesolo 📍, just a few kilometers from Venice in Italy 🇮🇹! The sun has just set here 🌅. Now only the moon lights up the Veneto region… In the background, you can hear the last waves of the day crashing onto the sand 🌊! Jesolo is a seaside resort located half an hour by car from Venice airport, in the Veneto region of Italy! 🇮🇹 Actually, this little borough has nothing to envy its neighbor! 😌 The sea, the beach, the monuments, the great squares that give charm to Italian cities 🏛… It's all there! Jesolo offers a series of fine sandy beaches that stretch for nearly 15 kilometers! 🏖️

So what about the race? As a matter of fact, the race takes place in May and starts just after 7 PM 🏃‍♂️! The weather should be absolutely ideal for running. Indeed, temperatures should range between 17 and 23°! ☀️ Add to that the adrenaline of participating in a fabulous race and a relatively flat course… It seems like all ingredients are there for you to smash a record and achieve a remarkable performance 🏆! In fact, not one but two courses are offered: a 10 km and a half marathon 😁. And no one is left out because there is even a family race! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 With 3 km of running, for all the parents who want to run with their kids, it's just per-fect ⭐️.

The sea, the sunset, the white sandy beaches, a gentle sea breeze 🪸… The scene is set for this Moonlight Half Marathon. A flat course awaits you as you run along a path - without any significant gradient - throughout the race! 🏃‍♀️ The race starts at Piazza Milano 🇮🇹, late in the evening. On this square, you'll also find the Moonlight village, an area offering a range of services before and after the race: bib collection, exhibition space, prize area, … 🏅 Then, you'll run several kilometers along the Canal Cavetta 🏞, a river navigable to Venice 🛶! Then comes the port of Cortellazzo 🐟 with its many pleasure boats! 🛥️ At the end of the course, you will also have the chance, nay, the privilege, to run along the beach 🏝! Only the moon will light up the magnificent landscape before you 🌙! But no worries, the section along the beach will be covered with slabs… 🛣️ No ankles will suffer on this winding path 😅! Finally, the finish will be where it all started, at Piazza Milano. There you'll be cheered by supporters who have come out in droves to celebrate the final victory ⚽️ !

The real bonus of this race? Along the way, you'll find refreshment points with water every 5 kilometers! 💧 Plus, you'll receive a medal… A kind of golden ball, for runners 🏆

The comfort (well said) ! 💤 For that, we recommend heading to Piazza Mazzini, in the center of Jesolo, to enjoy a little spritz 🍸 alongside its « pastas » with squid ink, a local specialty of Veneto 🇮🇹!
