Get ready for the most atmospheric season opener! Night Run Warsaw is a unique run over 5 km, forming part of a big weekend with IRONMAN 70.3. The start and finish are located in the Multimedia Fountain Park, and runners set off after dark (usually around 11:00 PM), equipped with headlamps from the race pack. The effect of hundreds of lights moving through the nighttime streets of Warsaw (including Sanguszki and Miodowa) is absolutely magical!
After the finish at the brightly lit finish line, Podzamcze offers recovery in a one-of-a-kind setting:
Multimedia Fountain Park: Right before the run you can watch the spectacular “water-light-sound” show. After the start, it’s the perfect place for a cool-down to the sound of water, which at night, in colorful illuminations, is incredibly soothing for tired senses.
A night stroll through the Old Town: The Fountain Park lies right at the foot of the Old Town. A calm walk up the steps to the Market Square is a great form of active recovery, and the view of the illuminated defensive walls and the Royal Castle at night is the best reward for your effort.
Vistula Boulevards: Just a few steps from the finish line stretch the bustling boulevards. It’s the perfect place for a post-run meal or cold drinks at one of the many riverside café-bars, which at night become the social heart of the capital.
IRONMAN Village: The race is accompanied by an Expo and Merchandise zone. There you can soak up the atmosphere of a major triathlon, check out the latest sports gear, and exchange high-fives with other “iron people”.
