Get ready to see life in pink 💕... but this time with a generous dose of Mediterranean sunshine ☀️! Welcome to Odysséa Marseille, the meeting point where your cardio will finally be used for something other than chasing after the tramway 🚋. Let’s meet in Marseille 🗓️, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, for a wave of solidarity benefiting the fight against breast cancer and the Paoli Calmette Institute, the association Vivre comme avant, and the AP-HM, specifically Un K au Féminin. 🙏. And as a bonus, you’re in a period when the springtime warmth turns the city into a postcard without risking ending up like a grilled pizza on the Old Port 🍕🔥.
The menu is more enticing than a well-spiced bouillabaisse 🍲: a 10 km for those who have the wanderlust and a 5 km (race or walk) untimed for those who prefer to enjoy the moment and chat 🗣️. And the cherry on the cake? 🍰 You can participate remotely thanks to the connected version. No matter where you are, you can run with the community 💻. Isn't that great? 😍!
The Marseilles route, it has that little taste of freedom: between seashore and city 🌊. You run with the Old Port not far ⚓️, breathe the sea air, go along open spaces and feel the sun kiss your face ☀️. The elevation? Gentle enough not to make you regret signing up, but motivating enough to earn your medal 🏅. It’s Marseille baby: it smells of the south, the party, and the energy, with that extra bit of soul that makes you want to smile even when it stings a little in your legs 😄.
At some point, your body might say, “shall we slow down?” 📩. But around you, there’s encouragement, applause, motivation 👏. And you keep going. Because you know why you are there, for whom you are there 🎀. Because you move forward with hundreds (even thousands) of other participants 🏃♂️. And because deep down, even if your legs complain, your mind has already decided to go all the way 💪. Odysséa, that’s what it is: a mix of effort, emotion, and solidarity ❤️🩹. And for the younger ones, no excuse: even the little champions can put on their sneakers 👟 with a race dedicated to children, "I Run for Mom."
And once you cross the finish line 🏁, extend the pleasure. Marseille, it’s the perfect city to enjoy the post-race 😏. Stroll through the calanques or on the Mediterranean coast 🌊, through the alleys of the center, and of course... don't miss the local gastronomy 😮💨. Between a good bouillabaisse, some panisses, and a Marseilles navette for "recovery" 🍪, you clearly have everything you need to recharge your batteries 🔋. And if someone asks why you're eating so much, you can answer very seriously: "it's for recovery" 😄.
So, will you be there? 🤓
