The event in a few words

Are you eager to sign up for a new quality challenge? 🚨 Are you a fan of semi-marathons? 💨 Come over here, we'll introduce you to the Semi-Marathon Verde de Oviedo. If we've piqued your curiosity, we'll leave you with the rest. It's in the province of Asturias, in Oviedo, where the festivities take place 🎉. Wondering where it is? It's in the land of flamenco 💃: Spain! 🇪🇸 The semi was born in 2018 thanks to the Club des Sports Màs o Menos! 🎽 This year, it will already be the 6th edition, and no need to say they've earned their stripes ⚒️. To honor this club that has worked so hard for such a project to come to life, the start will be from the Sports Palace! 🏫 You will pass through places like the Matalablima football field🏟️, and the Senda Verde "the green trail"🌿. The finish is on the Plaza Alfonzo II El Casto! The Semi-Marathon Verde de Oviedo is one of the most popular races in Asturias 🌆.

This is not the only action that the Club des Sports Màs o Menos has implemented in the city of Oviedo 💪. They use sport as a tool for awareness of rare diseases and social causes 🫶. In 2018, after years of organizing charity races, the Semi-Marathon Verde de Oviedo was born, an event of running that unites nature, culture, and solidarity 👊. Moreover, you can, while registering, make a donation to the Galbàn association, which actively fights against childhood diseases 🔬.

Since you are in Spain, why not enjoy a bit? 🤭 The race offers a guided and free tour of Casco Antiguo, the old town of Oviedo 📸. It will take place on Saturday, the day before the race. During your walk, you will probably pass by the San Salvador Cathedral ⛪, a monument dating from the Roman era, standing 80 meters high! 😵 For a bit of culture, you should visit the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias 🎨. The different sections abound with thousands of classical and contemporary works, some by Dali and Picasso! 👨‍🎨 For an outing in nature, we have the perfect plan: The stone churches of Oviedo! 🤩 It's thanks to them that the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site 📜. One of the most important is Santa María del Naranco, built in the verdant valley of Naranco 🌳, above the city, and dedicated to King Ramire I 👑. And yes, we're not shy about giving you a little history lesson.

Alright, enough chit-chat, when do we get down to business? 📥
