The event in a few words

Are you itching to sign up for a new quality challenge? 🚨 Are you an enthusiast of half-marathons? 💨 Come on over, we'll introduce you to the Semi-Marathon Verde de Oviedo. If we've managed to pique your curiosity, here's the rest: The festivities take place in the province of Asturias, in Oviedo. Wondering where that is? It's in the land of flamenco 💃; Spain! 🇪🇸 The half-marathon was born in 2018 thanks to the Club des Sports Màs o Menos! 🎽 This year it will already be the 6th edition and, needless to say, they've gained a lot of experience ⚒️. To honor this club that has worked so hard to bring such a project to life, the race will start from the Sports Palace! 🏫 You'll pass by places like the Matalablima football field🏟️, and the Senda Verde "the green path"🌿. The finish line is at the Plaza Alfonzo II El Casto! The Semi-Marathon Verde de Oviedo is one of the most popular races in Asturias 🌆.

This is not the only action that the Club des Sports Màs o Menos has set up in the city of Oviedo 💪. They use sport as a tool for raising awareness about rare diseases and social causes🫶. In 2018, after years of organizing charity races, the Semi-Marathon Verde de Oviedo was born, an event of running that unites nature, culture and solidarity👊. You can also make a donation to the Galbàn association at the same time as you register, which actively fights against childhood diseases 🔬.

Since you're in Spain, why not make the most of it? 🤭 Finishers have prepared a few activities for you, so you won't get bored... (It's impossible, don't worry) 🤓. How about starting with a little walk in Casco Antiguo, the old town of Oviedo 📸. During your walk, you'll likely pass by the San Salvador Cathedral⛪, a monument that dates back to the Roman era and stands 80 meters high! 😵 For a little cultural insight, you should visit the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias🎨. The various sections abound with thousands of classic and contemporary works, including some by Dali and Picasso! 👨‍🎨 For an outing in nature, we have the perfect plan: The stone churches of Oviedo! 🤩 It's thanks to them that the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site 📜. One of the most important is Santa María del Naranco, built in the green valley of Naranco🌳, above the city, and dedicated to King Ramiro I 👑. And yes, we're not shy about giving you a little history lesson.

Now enough chit-chat, when do we get to the serious stuff? 📥
