Head to the village of Bimbach, nestled right in the heart of the state of Hesse 🇩🇪. The hearty menu features a multitude of routes to heat up every calf profile. The punchy loops of around fifty kilometers scorch the tarmac before giving way to monumental challenges. The true road warriors take on the Classic version: 258 km and 4,800 m of elevation gain 📈.

The asphalt course launches you straight into the vastness of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve, affectionately nicknamed the land of sweeping far horizons 🌄. Your body has to absorb punchy, repetitive climbs, creating a real rollercoaster all the way to the majestic Wasserkuppe summit. Crossing this mythical place, the historic cradle of world gliding, unquestionably gives you wings to get the machine going again on the steepest ramps 🦅. The immersion becomes fascinating as you cross the borders of three different states, carried along by absolutely spectacular panoramas.

Adrenaline saturates the cool air from dawn within an XXL peloton bringing together more than two thousand bike-mad diehards 🚴‍♂️. Local fervor turns farming villages into incredible fan zones where the cheers echo endlessly. A Rhineland saying even claims that at this exact time, absolutely everyone rides in Bimbach! 🎉 Getting off the saddle to explore the surroundings within an hour’s radius lets you come down gently with your supporters. Go visit the magnificent baroque city of Fulda to admire its imposing cathedral ⛪.

Diving into the mysteries of the past is absolutely unmissable with a visit to the Point Alpha memorial, a former Cold War border post that’s particularly striking 🕵️‍♂️. Families will be even more delighted by the wide-open spaces of the superb Gersfeld wildlife park for a walk on the wild side.
