Samsung City Triathlon Międzychód 2026

This is undoubtedly one of the most charming editions in the entire Samsung City Triathlon series. Międzychód, located on the edge of the Notecka Forest and surrounded by dozens of lakes, offers triathletes a course that is not only fast but, above all, incredibly scenic. The swim usually takes place in the crystal-clear Lake Miejskie. A start from the city beach and clear water are a level of comfort rarely found at city triathlons. 🌊🏊‍♂️

Once your heart rate returns to normal and the medal is proudly hanging around your neck, Międzychód offers recovery at its best:

Relax by Lake Miejskie: Since you’re already here, make use of the city beach for a "post-race chillout." The cool lake water is natural cryotherapy for tired muscles. 🏖️💧

Laufpompa on the Market Square: A must-see! The Międzychód artesian well with its distinctive smell (hydrogen sulfide) is a symbol of the city. Supposedly, drinking this water (in moderation!) or washing your face with it gives you strength—just right after a triathlon. ⛲💪

A walk through the "gaski": Międzychód is famous for its unique, narrow alleyways called gaski, which connect the market square with the lake. Walking them is a great way to gently loosen up your legs and soak up the atmosphere of the old town. 🚶‍♂️🧱

Regional Education Center in Mniszki: If you still have a bit of energy left, visit nearby Mniszki. It’s an interactive museum of traditional trades, where in peace and quiet you can step back in time—wonderfully calming after the sporting buzz. 🏛️🔨
