The weekend is coming up and you’re still hesitating between an XXL sleep-in 🛌 or an adventure that’s going to seriously shake up your routine?
Good news: Sarth'Ultra has exactly what it takes to replace your “sofa-series-snacking” plan with a huge bike ride you’ll be talking about for months 🔥. Here, there’s no question of a simple post-meal spin: we’re talking ultra-distance, long hours in the saddle, landscapes rolling by, and a mind that will have to learn to negotiate with your legs 😅. We can assure you that the Pays de la Loire in July looks incredible 😍.
Two formats await you to gauge your level of gentle madness 🤪. The 215 km is perfect if you want to discover the world of ultra without heading straight into an intergalactic crossing 🌌. Long enough to give you a real adventure, smooth enough to have fun even when the kilometers start to weigh heavy on your thighs 🦵. And then there’s the 400 km… Now we’re entering another dimension 😳. You’ll literally see the stars! ⭐️ And if you’re afraid of feeling alone, you can always choose the 400 km duo version! Yep, the more the merrier—we laugh ride!
The playground? The Sarthe in all its splendor 🌿. Yes, yes, Sarthe. The one everyone always underestimates before discovering its quiet little roads, its forests, its rolling hills and villages that seem completely cut off from the world. Here, no oppressive traffic or noisy main roads 🚗. It’s just you, your bike, and miles of roads to find a hypnotic rhythm where you pedal without even noticing time passing ⏳. The real luxury of Sarth’Ultra is also that feeling of total disconnection ✈️. For a few hours (or rather a few hundred kilometers) your only goal is to move forward in the middle of nature. No more emails, no more meetings, no more mental load: just the road, the sound of the tires, and your brain in warrior mode ⚔️.
And when the finish line finally gets close… You roll in exhausted, probably a bit broken, but with that immense satisfaction that only endurance sports can offer. After that, you can quietly enjoy the area, recover by the ponds of Tuffé or simply savor the very simple happiness of… not pedaling for a few hours 😌. You can fill your belly with Le Mans rillettes or a good Sarthe stew 🍽️.
It would be ULTRA a shame to miss out... 🤓
Message from the organizer:
"Sarth’Ultra is a brand-new ultra-cycling event that will be launched in Sarthe on Saturday 4 July 2026, with a start from Tuffé. Much more than a race, Sarth’Ultra is above all a personal challenge, a human and sporting adventure where everyone comes to push their limits at their own pace, in a spirit of discovery, sharing and endurance. For this first edition, two routes will be offered so that all long-distance enthusiasts can live the experience: a 215 km route, ideal for discovering the world of ultra-distance, and a 400 km long route, intended for cyclists looking for a more demanding challenge. The itineraries have been carefully traced on the calm and peaceful roads of Sarthe, in order to offer a unique immersion in the heart of the department. Participants will set off to discover a territory rich in heritage, characterful villages and varied landscapes. Between rolling hills, forests, bucolic paths and a few fine climbs that can sometimes be surprising, the route promises as much emotion as wonder. Sarth’Ultra is the opportunity to experience cycling differently: taking the time to appreciate the scenery, managing your effort, sharing an extraordinary adventure and crossing the line with the satisfaction of having met your own challenge.
