The event in a few words

Is your passport and are your thighs ready? This time, we’re taking you on a totally exotic adventure in Central Asia, far off the beaten track 🌍. Head for Uzbekistan, and more specifically Galvasay, a gem nestled in the Tashkent district, to bring a bit of something new to your running calendar 🇺🇿. It’s at the end of summer, in August, that the Sky Camp Bo'stonliq will take place—an event made for lovers of wide open wild spaces and thrill-seekers at altitude ⛰️. If you feel like swapping your usual city or countryside outings for breathtaking Uzbek alpine panoramas... you’ve definitely knocked on the right door! 🚪 Let’s be honest: here, your usual times don’t mean much anymore... The local terrain will force you to rethink your plans and get used to the area’s mountain slopes 🏔️.

Three race formats are waiting for you for this big challenge, depending on your fitness level and your degree of craziness 🤪. If you’re a pure sprinter or a fan of the vertical kilometer (extreme version 🤣), the "Peak" format is a true monster of 4.09 km. Don’t let its warm-up-worthy distance fool you, because you’re going to hit a memorable wall of 666 mD+, for only 64 mD- (careful, we know what the triple 6 stands for 🥶). You’re entitled to a climb that takes you straight up to the heights of Amirsoy, at over 4,000 meters above sea level. The air will start to get thin and your calves will burn intensely 🔥. For those who want a taste of trail without leaving a lung behind from the first kilometer, the "Sky Camp Trail 10K" offers a loop of 10.14 km with 531 mD+. It’s the perfect option to pick up the pace on the runnable sections while discovering the moderate technicality of the country’s trails 📍. Finally, if you’ve got a warrior’s soul and you’ve piled up the training, the flagship "Sky Camp Trail 20K" offers 19.23 km for 1,183 mD+ 📈. The two-loop course is pretty tough and designed to give you a total immersion in the mountains 🤝. Watch out though for one crucial detail that will shake up your runner habits: the use of poles is strictly forbidden on the 10 km and 20 km formats. You’ll move forward using only your legs and your mindset, with no crutches to help you! 🌟 On the other hand, you’ll be well rewarded because for the 20 km you’ll be able to validate 1 ITRA point! ✅

After crossing the finish line, catching your breath, and celebrating your feat with the other finishers, the adventure continues off the sporting trails 🍲. The Tashkent district and the village of Galvasay are full of cultural and culinary treasures you absolutely have to discover. It’s time to recharge your batteries with an authentic Plov, the national dish. It’ll be ideal for recovering everything you left on the climb 🥵. Then you’ll explore the local bazaars to hunt down sun-soaked dried fruits and traditional teas served according to the rules of the art 🫖. With legs still in good shape, you can take a trip to the nearby capital: Tashkent, and admire its unique architecture ✨.

We’re offering you a real running escape that will leave you with memories etched for a good long while. So now is the time to grab your bib! 🔥

4 reasons to join this race

A beautiful climb to the peaks 🏔️
The Peak format offers you a climb to the summits of Amirsoy with a serious elevation gain of 666 mD+ over just a little more than 4 km. Vertical climbs are rarely a walk in the park! The 10 km or 20 km courses are also very tough routes that will take you up to high altitude! So here’s a little tip: solid training will definitely be necessary! ✨
A whole lot of international ITRA points 🌍
This getaway to Uzbekistan is the perfect opportunity to boost your tally and polish your runner profile. The PEAK format and the Sky Camp Trail 20K are indeed certified by the "International Trail Running Association". Which means you’ll be able to validate points to fill out your trail runner CV (only for the 20 km)🏃‍♂️.
The wild beauty of the Galvasay mountains 🌄
The playground alternates between dirt paths, rocky sections, and alpine panoramas hidden from tourism. You come, you run, and nature takes care of a total disconnect and amazement with every stride. There will be wild, pure landscapes, radically different from what you usually see (unless you're from the area 🫣).
Zero poles, 100% raw strength 🦵
We’ve made it clear: in the rules for the 10 km and 20 km events, the use of poles on the courses is prohibited. You’ll have to rely only on the power of your thighs and your footing to get through those climbs 🥵.
