Strabotricello 2026

Get ready to run along the Ionian Sea at the Strabotricello 🏃, a 10 km road race held in Botricello, a seaside resort on the Gulf of Squillace, in Calabria! A FIDAL-certified road race, fast and friendly, that even counts toward the national road running championship 👍.

In late September, when the heat eases off, the village dresses up in the race’s colors: a route of around ten kilometers between the seafront and the town center, carried along by the crowd — a Seaside and In the city 🌇 event. The organization is led by A.S.D. Corri Castrovillari, a passionate Calabrian club.

And while you’re on the Ionian coast, head down to the superb Aragonese fortress of Le Castella and the protected marine area of Capo Rizzuto 🏰🐟, less than an hour to the south.
