The event in a few words

Here comes a race that will literally blow your mind! 🧠

In November, head to Catalonia, one of the 17 autonomous communities of Spain 🇪🇸. We hope you're self-reliant too, because here, no one will climb the trails of Cervelló for you! 😂 Welcome to the Pota Roja, an exhilarating race in the heart of the Barcelona province, where your cardio will meet the Catalan mountains and your mind will face the joys of burning calves with the D+ elevation 💥.

There's something for everyone here, whether you're a casual trail runner or a thrill-seeker who collects elevations like tapas 🍤. If you're a beginner and want to test your legs without selling your soul to the mountain 😈, try the 8 km with its 263 mD+, a little appetizer to warm up your brain. For a bit more challenge, take on the 14 km and its 546 mD+, perfect for splitting the difference before aiming higher 😍. And if you love the burn, the 24 km with 1,114 mD+ should satisfy your quads 🤤. But beware: for those who are truly crazy about trail running, the 42 km with 1,925 mD+ awaits you for a day where you'll understand the real meaning of the word "slope" 📈. This route takes you through the forest between Cervelló, Vallirana, and Torrelles de Llobregat 📍. And if running isn't your thing but you have a bike ready, the Pota Roja also thinks of you with two mountain bike routes of 20 km and 35 km: get your calves, thighs, and especially your glutes ready, because Catalan trails are unforgiving 🚵‍♂️. But the Pota Roja isn't just a race; it's also a festive event where everyone comes together to sweat and admire the hills of Catalonia 🤩. This family-friendly and convivial race will leave you eager to revisit the region once you cross the finish line 🏁.

And after conquering the trails, take the time to explore an area rich in history 🤓. Maybe you ran too fast and missed the local star, the Torre Salvana Castle. This fortress from the 10th century, now in ruins, once hosted counts and is now part of Barcelona! 🏰 Just a few kilometers away, you'll find Barcelona, the Catalan capital, ready to welcome you with its Gothic Quarter ⛪️, its bustling Ramblas, and its terraces where you can replenish your energy with some tapas 🦐, a good paella, or a Barceloneta bomba 😋 (booooomba 💃).

Are you ready to join? Catalonia never disappoints, we promise 🤩
