The Tour of Vernet 2026

We're getting it out of you 👃, we know perfectly well that you want to come to the Tour of Vernet! 😆 Naturally, it's the only stage race in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence 🌻. In the world of trail, stage races are becoming increasingly common 😉 and the Tour of Vernet is riding this wave 🌊. In May, get ready to ascend the peaks of Provence ⛰️, to discover a magnificent landscape and all this for several days! 📆 Le Vernet, this beautiful village in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, welcomes you for the weekend 🙃. The department of 04, is preparing you… 🥁 4 stages, it seems to be their lucky number 🍀. From 2.8 km to 20 km, the stages are diverse ✨. You can motivate yourself and do them all, or you can also do just a part of them. Not bad, right? 😋

With 4 different distances, you have enough for a beautiful hike 🥾. It all starts on Friday afternoon, for the first stage: "The Vertical of Vernet" ⚡️. We start gently on the distance, you will have only 2.8 km 👌. However, the elevation doesn't joke... 😟 On these small kilometers, you will also have 800 mD+, be careful with your thighs 🦵. In the evening, info point, with a conference on nutrition 🥗. On Saturday, we continue with a slightly busier program 🔥. In the morning, "The Trail of Vernet" : the 2nd stage which will be 21 km, with a total of 1,150 mD+ 📈. You've seen, we specified morning ⏰, yes, on Saturday, the pace continues. In the afternoon you go again for 6 km, for the " Corrida of Vernet ". Ahhh, it makes a nice day 😌. 4th and final stage, is the "Cross of Vernet" 🌳. A beautiful last portion which counts 12 km and 450 mD+ in full nature. We finish well the day with the award ceremony at noon 🏅. Well, with that, you have enough for a great weekend! 🤠 As a reminder, you can also select these stages if you don't want to do them all in a row! 🤓

Even if the weekend is already quite intense, given the region you are in, 2-3 extra days wouldn't hurt 🤪. Within 1 hour drive, you have the magnificent Serponçon lake 🚣. Whether you want to chill by the water 🏖️ or enjoy the picturesque villages around, both choices are perfect 👍. There you will also find the beautiful Picomtal castle, dating back to the 14th century 🏰. Well, and after that, we know, gastronomy is important and don't worry, you're covered 🍜. The bouillabaisse, yes the name is not appealing, yet, what a delight 🤤. To continue in the typical vein, the banon, is a good cheese wrapped in chestnut leaves 🧀. To finish with a sweet touch 🍰, don't miss the pumpkin cake. Yes, it's a peculiar name, but you'll understand our advice once you've tried it 🍽️.
